I do sometimes go to that cemetery but noticed you are much closer than I.

Perhaps the following info will be helpful. There is a Parriott family plot but no John. It's located in the Eastern part of the cemetery and no there is no Eastern designation but it's either Magnolia or Evergreen. Not at the lowest part but just above that so not high on the hill and easy to find.

That being said, I seldom see office workers here so can add nothing further if John is located in another section.

Suggest you take a weekend hour or two and go take a look for yourself. You might call ahead and if you need that number it is probably listed. Otherwise suggest you might check with other Lake County cemeteries.

Amanda and James davis
I do apologize for the poor quality of the photos.
According to the cemetery listings posted at the library's,
The list for Amanda says wife of T. J. Davis. No dates.
The listing for James, it states he is the son of T.J. and M.D. Davis died Oct 28, 1873 age 5 mo 8 da
I live about 465 miles from the cemetery, however my husbands family lived and is buried there. I do plan another trip, but not sure if it will be this or next year!
I do plan on taking photos, (I have a better camera now)
If necessary I will get permission to do a rub of the stones that are unreadable!

Sarah Buckmaster
In your previous message (below) you had noted you don't have specific documentation on her birthday. Have you located documentation and can provide it to support the February 25, 1841 birthday and location? Also, what is the source for the death date & place?

Thanks for the specifics!

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
I believe Sarah's birth date to be Feb 1841. She is shown as born in about 1841 in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census records. In 1880 she is shown as 40 years old. In 1900 her birth date is shown as Feb 1841. Others, not me, have further stated he birth date as 25 Feb 1841. Perhaps they have seen a document or family record that does not show up for me at ancestry.com.

Thanks if you would consider updating the memorial page. If her date of birth was listed in cemetery records as 1849, it would be nice to know that.

Thanks,
Scott

Thank you for the photo of Walter's headstone. Nice job. I appreciate it very much.

Scott

I had just replied that I wished I had my cleaning supplies with me the day I took the picture of Walter Riddles stone because it had a lot of green moss on it.
