I joined Findagrave as a way of collecting information for Clemson University's Scroll of Honor Memorial web site (http://cualumni.clemson.edu/scrollofhonor). On it are pages for each of the 484 Clemson alumni who died in service to their country.
I am now working on photographing and posting all grave markers in several cemeteries and graveyards in and around Walhalla, SC.
Mulkey headstones David, May I have permission to use your photo of the David Isaac Mulkey's headstone on a private Ancestry.com tree? I am creating the tree for Jess Oliver Mulkey. I look forward to hearing from you, Candyce Williams Glaser
Long Family David, Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph the grave markers of Robert Long and his parents. I'm assuming that his wife, Edyth Black Long, is not buried next to him like I had thought. I have not been able to locate an obituary on her either. Thanks again for your much appreciated help! RE: Lt William Dillard Thanks for the info, next time I go to the library I will pull his father's obituary to see if I can determine who his wife was - sometimes the obits don't give the info if the spouse predeceased but it's worth a try. I'll also put in a photo request and that may clear it up before I can get to the library. I live about 10 miles from the cemetery so short of everything else I'll make a trip in a few weeks to check myself if I can get plot information - none of the Dillards in the transcription are buried in the same plot as he is but it's an old book from 1995, but I have his and may then find theirs. I love a good hunt !
