|I began FAG search in order to enter a grandparent I knew was buried in a certain cemetery, and just kept adding Missing names to sites. I did not intend to add hundreds of names, just want to have all the kin I can find entered in FAG, and the numbers of ancestors just kept growing, which was a pleasant surprise. It has so far been rewarding and I have heard from many people regarding my family. If I am not a close or direct descendent, I will usually turn them over if I am asked and you are also related.|

Thank you for your information on your dates of interest. I personally have no connection to Lydia Jane and the information I posted came from the Stafford cemetery records. I have nothing else to go on and I don't plan on researching her. I would gladly turn management over to any relative that requests.

Nice to "meet" you! I'm trying to reconcile the "Chapin" maiden name for Ruth Ballantine. I myself am a Chapin descendant (8th ggrandson of Deacon Samuel Chapin) and I have only one "Ruth" but not one who married a Ballantine.
It's interesting to see where we find little details for our family histories. Are you also a Chapin Descendant? I have a Facebook page called Descendants of Deacon Samuel Chapin which you can view at http://bit.ly/Descendants-of-Deacon-Samuel-Chapin.
If you don't mind, can you give me some details on Ruth? Perhaps you know here parents or grandparents?
(Just passed my 14th anniversary with Find A Grave!!)

Yes, I know that her middle name is her first husband's last name - this is not an error. Not unusual for this practice in those years.

Hi Marilyn - you wrote - "I am questioning that this Aaron Chapin is the son of Phineas. Phineas did not marry until 1783, according to any records I can find and it was to Love Hurd, and no child Aaron of this marriage. I think this Aaron is the son of Phineas' brother Charles (1752-1813) as Charles did have a son Aaron with the same birth and death years. I cannot read the bottom of the grave stone photo. I would like to link him with the correct father and mother as I have the Find A Grave memorial numbers to both Charles and Phineas. Please check as I have no official birth records for Aaron."
This info was from Oakwood Cemetery's register - so if you have correct info (and parent's memorial numbers) - please send it along and I can apply the corrections.

My mother died at Mo Valley hospital. The date is correct..she had been to our home in Sedalia for Christmas--not sure where they got the stuff that was in there. Her 2nd husband was Harold Fisher. He was born Oct 1, 1914 & died April 20, 1975. They were married May 5, 1972. thanks, Marge Block Watson

You're welcome. It looks like you've done a lot of research on her. I did see the request for her daughter to be linked to her. I also sent the person managing the memorial a message to let them know of the pending edits and they haven't responded. With the new edit feature the edit will automatically be updated in 21 days after you've put in the request. So at least the links will be made eventually!
Can you please transfer this to me. Concepcion was my great-great grandmother. Thank you.

I am pretty sure she never married. Thanks again.
