I grew up in Anderson, Indiana and my mother grew up in Lapel. I have been working on the Hersberger and Stottlemyer lines. I also have great-grandparents who were Commons, Moore, Norris, Stiner, Gaver, Huntzinger, Anderson in the Lapel area. Many came from Frederick County, Maryland and I've done some research there. Through my father's side I am a member of the Indiana Society of Civil War Families. My great-grandfather fought with the 54th Indiana at Vicksburg and his only two brothers were killed in the Civil War. The more research I do, the more Civil War connections I have found although only the one direct ancestor.|
I live in Oregon now so all of my research is from a long distance.

You're welcome. i wish i could have found a stone. Much credit to the grounds crew there who are very helpful when I stumble on a dead end. There are still a lot of good people on this side of the sod.

Hey Ann I just figured it all out when I checked my "edits" and so I deleted her, added his parents, and then re-added Aline :) All good now!

resend the request to link his parents or send it them to me as I don't have the links now myself :) Find A Grave has become a little crazy on some things lately lol
Thanks for the update, I've deleted the duplicate. Don't know why I did it in the first place. What's your Huntzinger connection?

Glad I could help! Thanks!
I checked and found Drummond and all the Smithson families are buried in Union Cemetery near windsor, So I moved the memorial over to that cemetery.
I have taken pictures of the whole cemetery, Old and New parts and found no marker for him but plenty of other Smithson family.
Have a great day

I was like Oh no what happened now. And on my side. It shows no change. And then only the note about the parents. Glad it has been taken care of.

I am not sure what you mean by declining for her spouse. He is linked. The decline was the parents. I thought we had that all fixed. Because she is also linked to her parents now????? Please let me know. You are referring to
