I was born in 1928 in Bridgeton, New Jersey and graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1947. My maternal line is McAllister. Genealogy came late in my life and I recently discovered Find a Grave. Our son Ken, grandson Ross and I returned to south Jersey in 2008 to bury my mother Irene Husted's ashes above my father Wilfred Blew Husted's grave at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton. While there, we photographed the graves of every Husted we could find and a few others at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville, The Old Stone Church Cemetery near Fairton and Overlook Cemetery. I'll be adding names to these cemeteries in the future.
Beth and I live in Billings, Montana. We have two dogs and a houseful of orchids.
I find myself increasingly unable to get out and about to fulfill requests for photographs at area cemeteries. Age, mileage and health issues are steadily catching-up with me. So, I will unwillingly remove myself from the volunteer list. It has been fun!
I am transferring my family memorials to our son Kenneth Husted #47834660. Later I will transfer other memorials to Find a Grave or any member wishing to manage some or all of them.
I have transferred all of my non-family memorials to Find a Grave #8.
RE: William and Mary So glad I could help. If you need me to take off anything so you can add actual pix of them, let me know. It will probably be a few months, but I am doing the whole cemetary and then cross-checking it with the church records. There may be some more Husted family members that turn up.
Mc Fate's Thank you so much for the pictures of My gg grandparent stones. I really appreciate your time and gas. I remember visiting John Henry cemetery in the late seventies. It was a little over grown and just as soon as my mom got done reassuring me there were no snakes, we disturb one sunning himself on a stone. lol. Hope your enjoying spring weather in Montana. Cold and Windy in Nebraska. Thanks again, Tammy
The Rule Gang Wilfred, I just really want to thank you for a wonderful job. My mother inlaw will be so happy to see all of these and the hard work you have put into it. I just hope to repay you once I get to Jackson, MT for you. If it will ever stop snowing...Yes it is still snowing herd today. Take Care and Thank you so very much. Always Shirley Rule
RAY & MARY AGGERS Thank you so very much for the photo of their grave marker. Mary and I were first cousins once removed (2nd cousins) as our grandfathers were siblings. It took me a long time to track her down to Oak Harbor, WA. I visited with her and husband Ray in August 1988 and we got along beautifully. Unfortunately, Mary was gone by the following March to cancer. She was diagnosed shortly after my visit. So, I really appreciate your excellent photo! Thank you.
William Rule Jr & Stanley Rule Thank you so much for all you do. I know that I will not be able to take my mother inlaw over to see their resting place. She has been in a wheelchair for a few years now and is unable to travel that far. So now I can show her the memorial pages and it will be the next best thing to being there. Thank you for giving that to her. Shirley
