Bio

My mother, Gloria B Summa Faulkner, and I are out visiting cemeteries where her family are buried. We had a nice day. This is several years ago. Mother is gone now. All in the family began to call her "Great" as the years went by.
She was a loving, steadfast and brave Lady. We are at Chinquapin Cemetery in Van Zandt County, Texas, and this is mother's maternal grandmother's-Nancy Albertine "Tiney" Martin Williams- grave. Mother's parents were Joel Elmer Summa and Ida Georgia Williams, they lived in Navarro and Liberty Counties in Texas.

I originally got interested in genealogy because of my paternal Aunt Helen wanted to know more about her family. Her father Samuel Faulkner, husband of Sonoma Pearl Farmer, died when she was young and she had a yearning to know who he was and who that part of her family was.
I have had many good ladies in my family and my life, but these are the two who probably had the most influence in my life.

The other great lady in my life is my husband, Jessie's, mother Lenard Marie Titsworth Barker. She loved her grandchildren and helped them make forts and tents and always made play an important part of learning and fun in their lives.

I will take what pictures I can in my area as I feel like getting out to do so. I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, and just cannot do what I once did, so I am not voluteering offically. I am doing well and am stable. They can do more than they once could. Many thanks to MD Andersn Hospital in Houston Texas.
