If you have time, please stop by and leave flowers for my Dad John Schoenenberger a World War 2 Vet And Mom Myra Schoenenberger|
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

|Judy||RE: Schoenenberger's all posted?|
This family of four are the only ones I know about: Charlie, Kay, Anne and most recently, Kent. His marker was pe-need for a long time. Their memorials are all linked to each other.
I knew them well a long time ago. It seems like there is another son but I don't remember his name. This cemetery plot is kitty-korner next to my husband and his parents (Bond) so they get regular visits. Unfortunately, due to the drought there has been limited watering. Nothing green now but the cemetery is well-kept and tidy looking.
You are Charlie's niece?
We could be using email instead of public board.
I am at firstname.lastname@example.org

Thank you for noticing the two memorials. I have placed him in St. mary's, according to iagenweb records.
That is such a confusing area. The cemeteries are right next to each other, but there is no marking which is which.
I probably did one from a list and the other from sight. Not sure if I missed photographing his stone as I did most of the cemeteries...missing some yet!
Thanks for letting me know the correct spelling. I have made the correction. Since he is still living, do you think I should remove his name from the memorial?

Thanks. I'll have to search my FTM program of the family buried there. I have about 13,000 in my tree so that info is not memorized.

Cindy, I believe John is at this location:
Find A Grave #28902601, which is the IOOF Cem., with other family members...
|Dave Hendrickson||Samuel Handley|
I deleted my copy of Samuel Handley in Find a Grave.
Thanks for informing me.
