Note to all:
When you see a star followed by a cross on a tombstone. It means this person was a baby that was born & died on the same day.
That is why there is only one date on stone.

I'm glad you like the photos and glad I could do it for you.
|The Locator||RE: Harold R Wheeler|
I contacted Rob and asked him Wheeler where his dad died and he said he was in a hospital in Des Moines, so I changed that info. His address was Cambridge when he passed away and that is probably why SS states Cambridge.
Did you ever find out what become of the Wheeler Bible?
Keep in touch, Ruthie

Thanks for sending the obit for James Mike Mather. I have added the obit & his photo to the memorial. If you are a relative or friend of Mikes, please feel free to send a Transfer Request to me via Findagrave.

You are certainly welcome. We were in Indiana over Labor Day weekend for a reunion and went to this cemetery to visit graves of relatives. We saw your request on Find A Grave and got a little exercise locating the grave. It appears to well cared for.

Doug is not ried there. Cremated, I think.

I took the photo yesterday for your request at Vilmar Cemetery. There is just a funeral home plaque there at this time, no stone. Sorry.

You are very welcome!

Do you have any info as to where Harold Wheeler (Memorial #111805019) died?
|KGottshall||Cecil Long - Arlington National Cemetery|
Hi - I went to the location where his gravestone is supposed to be. His wife is buried there, so I added the front and back of gravestone to her memorial page. He does not appear to be located there. I also went on ANC's website and the website has him listed as being buried there, but the pictures they took of the gravestone also just have his wife there. I know there are a bunch of other people taking pictures at ANC, so I did not tag this one as a problem, in hopes they will have some better luck for you. - Katie

I use a dish pan with several gallons of water and a plastic bristled brush. No detergents of any kind.
I don't know for sure if the plastic bristled brush is bad for the stone, but it doesn't appear to leave scratches or anything.
I do know that you aren't supposed to use a wire brush. Do not use any kind of detergents, solvents, gasoline, pressure washers, or chemicals of any kind. Do not use bleach. Bleach can really harm the stones.
They also say use a soft-bristled brush. How soft? What do they mean--soft? Anything less than what I use--would take forever to get the mud, dirt and slime off. I hope I am not wrong for using the type I am using.
Here's the brush I use. It is one of your common household type of pot scrubber with the semi hard bristles on it.

Hope this helps.
