We are mainly interested in gathering and organizing information on our direct ancestors. Check out our virtual cemeteries to see who our ancestors are.
We manage a number of memorials that are not direct ancestors, so if you don't see them in our virtual cemetery, we will gladly transfer management to you.
Please let us know if you have any information you would like to share or if we can provide you with any info. We would love to hear from our relatives.

CLEMENTS Cemetery, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama
I recently spoke to my Uncle who lives in Tuscaloosa, and we have several ancestors buried in this cemetery. He stated that the land this cemetery is on was sold back in the 1950's to a non-family-member and is currently posted No Trespassing, and no one has been able to get out there in many years. I wonder if perhaps a polite letter to the current property owner, explaining the reason for wanting to walk this cemetery, would be in order? I have not researched the current owner's name, but I found the GPS coordinates in Google Maps, they are: LAT 33.1262703, LONG -87.4722871, which is near current-day Woodstock, AL. With that info you should be able to contact the mapping department of the Bibb County Tax Assessor's Office for a lookup by GPS Coordinates. I went to their website, but don't see any way to search for it. I think that is why no one has been able to fulfill photo requests and request for more information. Hope that info helps in your search. ere is the link to the Google Map of the location:,+Woodstock,+AL+35188/@33.1262703,-87.4722871,10z/data=!4m15!1m6!3m5!1s0x8888ca2794e30851:0x2b60daca8167916d!2sClements+Cemetery!8m2!3d33.13619!4d-87.193489!4m7!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x8888ca2794e30851:0x2b60daca8167916d!2m2!1d-87.193489!2d33.13619

Ann Staley
I've received a request from you to change the date of death for Ann Staley (memorial #20677882), specifically the year of death from 1898 to 1897. I'm a bit hesitant to do so, given the fact that her gravestone shows 1898 as the year of her death. Are you sure that the death year of 1897 is correct, even though her stone shows something else? If the stone is incorrect, I'll make the change and note the discrepancy in her memorial. Please let me know. I just want to make sure things are as accurate as possible.

Lizzie Glenn Taylor
This concerns Lizzie Glenn Taylor (Find A Grave Memorial# 91941723). She was a sister of my Great-grandmother, Lulu Glenn.

Her first husband was Alexander G. "Alex" Smith (Find A Grave Memorial# 50255669).

Her second husband was Marcus DeWitt Taylor (Find A Grave Memorial# 91941724).

And Lizzie was Marcus DeWitt Taylor's second wife. Marcus' first wife was Lizzie's sister, May.

If you wish to transfer Lizzie Taylor to me (unless she is related to you) that would be nice but you don't have to. Would make the links and add the info that I have provided.

Thank you, William Wiatt

Jacob Hilliard Clements, memorial #65415898
Would you please remove Reuben Clements and his wife Elizabeth Stewart Clements as the parents of Jacob Hilliard Clements. Also remove their son, Hardy Clements as a sibling of Jacob.

I am the administrator of the Family Tree Y-DNA Clements surname project. We have proven descendants of both Jacob Hilliard Clements and Reuben Clements who have taken the y-DNA test and their DNA test results prove that Jacob and Reuben are NOT related.

Jacob Hilliard Clements is related to the other Clements family - Thomas, Gabriel, Joseph, Thomas Jr., Jacob Jr., Andrew, and William Clements who were also residents of Tuscaloosa Co. AL at the same time as the Reuben Clements family.

Before DNA testing, there was no way to figure out if all of the Clements of Tuscaloosa Co. AL were related. However, after DNA testing, we now know for sure that there were two entirely "unrelated" Clements families in Tuscaloosa Co. AL in the early 1800s.
