In approximately January 2011, I discovered the grave site photo of my Great Grandfather along with his second wife. This was due to the efforts of someone special within the Find A Grave organization. Since then I have endeavored to give back to the field of genealogy that which it has given me. By joining Find A Grave and adding photos of various grave sites, by indexing and arbitrating documents for Family Search Indexing, I have attempted to make it possible for potentially thousands of fellow searchers put together their family histories. This has been a great trip and I look forward to its continuation. |
I adhere to Find A Grave's policy on transfers in that I will transfer your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition, I further will include ANY grandparent and all aunts and uncles.

I'm planning on heading up there for a week or so this summer - I was planning on going through the cemetery again to look for the remaining stones to be photographed, and check through the requests.
I actually came across this cemetery by accident while visiting our property up there (just a couple miles away, in fact). It was about 35% photographed then - I took a lot of pictures. ;)

Bob: I received your message about what I would like to post on Eloise Smith McGuffin's bio. The proof I sent to you was to show you what I had found in researching her history. Many creators of memorials will not add edits or links without proof so I try to show the records I have on her. I have nothing more than what I sent to you and since it is your memorial it's up to you what is posted.
I really appreciate your interest and thank you for asking.
just read your message page... got it--thank you so much!

sure thing, but... what did I do?
happy to continue if it's a good thing :-)
Thank you so much, Bob. It looks like you do a lot for us who are looking for our loved ones. Just a little tidbit here, my two sisters had daughters the same year, within months, of when my oldest son was born. They grew up together, except Beverly, but Beverly never got to experience much of life as she passed way too young.

Thank you so much for the fast turnaround on the memorial updates. I'll have more for you in the coming weeks as I try to sort out these families.

Just sent the edit again and I see you added her second husband. We should be good to go - thanks.
|GenieQueen||Dovie Taggart Herring|
I see you declined my edit. Just so I can expand on the information, Dovie's maiden name was Dovie Bell Williams. Her first husband was Robert O. Taggart (as listed in the Find A Grave memorial, married 1922) then she married again in 1960, after Robert's death, to William Henry Herring, Find A Grave #9627899. I don't believe the edit will omit anything, especially if you link to the second husband too, as all the information will be available on the page. It will be more complete.
