I started doing family research/genealogy about 10 years ago after my parents passed away. I realized that though I had grown up with my grandparents (paternal & maternal) and many of my great grandparents on both sides my children were not going to get that luxury. I wanted them to know who and where they came from. It began a journey that has been enlightening, educational, & most of all fun. |
I have met so many awesome people along the way especially those willing to give their time and effort to track down some scrap of information so that I could move on to another branch in the tree. There have also been several distant family members who had done a lot of the work ahead of me and for that I am deeply indebted. They shared what they had without any hesitation. And because of those people and the help they provided to me I try to pass it on whenever possible.

If I have a grave memorial that belongs to your family please let me know I will happily transfer it to you.

I have an email out to the Mercer County Historical Society asking for any cemetery inscription books they have available. I also just purchased the one for Carpenter's Cemetery in Mercer.
|Kim & JM Talboo||RE: Haywood|
Do you know if there are books available for Neshannock, Oakwood or Morefield?
|Kim & JM Talboo||Haywood|
Victoria. I apologize for the amount of edits I'm currently sending through to you for Haywood but I've been working this cemetery to get it as fully documented as possible. I have the Mercer County inscription book for this cemetery and have been doing lookups in conjunction with the book and Ancestry to pull the information.
I've also been attempting to photograph all of the stones but have had to go on a hiatus until cooler weather because of the ground hornets throughout the cemetery.
Thanks for your patience and all the work you do on Find A Grave.
|Pamela Hoffman Winkler||Jerre L. (Hoffman) Glus memorial|
Hey. Thank you for setting up this memorial for Jerre! I always enjoyed seeing her at our annual Hoffman Family Reunion; she was warm and funny. If you're not related to her, would you please transfer her memorial to me? Thank you so much.
I must have overlooked the double memorials. I deleted mine. Thanks for catching it.

Ok, though I am directly related to her herself, not by marriage. She was my double-great-grandfather's sister. She and my double great grandfather (John H. Hinsley) were both children of Robert Hinsley.

thank you Victoria for your time and efforts in volunteering for this wonderful organization. (I added a picture of my mom's gravestone to her file as it wasn't on the site when you took the picture)many thanks again!

Thank you so much! I have been looking for those graves for over a year - and the pictures are great!
There are probably more family members in that cemetery, so I have booked marked it and I'll keep an eye out!

I presume the duplicate has been removed. It looks as though the only Hightower memorial you created is for Paul Ray Hightower.
