Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi Everyone - Back when I was 8 years old, my grandpa, Paul Joseph Peter Allen, helped me make a family tree for a school project. Back then we didn't get that far...LOL. In 1999, I found that project and started working on it again. Now I've got over 20,000 people connected to my tree. I think my grandpa would be proud of what I've accomplished, thus my name, My Labor of Love!!! I'm a "Genealogy Pack Rat" and it's time that I shared my findings. I hope I was able to help someone with this information.

Take Care & God Bless -
(a mom of 3 cutie pies)

My goal is to attain what was once lost or forgotten. To investigate and then document my finding to further an ancestry or find a loved one. But most of all, making sure everyone is remembered no matter how short or long they were on this earth or what accomplishments they did or didn't do, that they are remembered and their story is told.

Please use the "Suggest a correction or provide additional information" found under the Edit tab.

First and foremost, you must be related to that individual; (ex: grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, uncle, aunt, cousin, etc...) I really don't care how many generations back, you could be a 4th cousin 5x removed, as long as the lineage is there! If you meet that criteria, please use the Edit tab on the individual that you would like transferred over to your care. Then select "Suggest a correction or provide additional information". Please include your Find A Grave ID #, relationship to the individual, and that you would like this memorial transferred to you. I'll transfer anyone that isn't in my family tree. But if it happens to be someone that is, closest relationship to that person wins!

I think it's selfish for people to take possession over a photo taken, so please feel free to use any photos that I post.

My husband and I were looking for his grave, there seems to be no headstone. How did you happen to find his grave? He is a close friend to the Helms family. We are pretty sure we found the right spot and would like to place something there.

Meindert de Jong (also DeYoung)

You posted a picture of the grave for Meindert de Jong (or DeYoung) but the picture of his grave is not clear. I was wondering if you might have another.

P.S. The other clue is the cemetery...Joseph Cox, Marguerite's father, was also buried in Spring Lake Cemetery in Kane County, Illinois., I have been there.

Hi again is I, Betsy Neil, once again. I am fascinated by all the Cox memorials you have and I just saw Elizabeth, who might be my family as well. I just wrote you about my grandma, Marguerite Cox...Elizabeth would be her aunt because Marguerite's father was John Cox and John was Elizabeth's father! I show her married to a John Turner, but no death date, no children (I haven't searched for them yet, though). Elizabeth was born in England in 1844 so this could be her. Would you like to transfer her or should I do some more sleuthing & get more info?
I really appreciate you doing the memorial for my grandma...I should have done it myself years ago!

Hi, my name is Betsy Nei. Marguerite is my grandma and I was so pleased to see your memorial on Find A Grave. She is memorial # 97697586

Would you be willing to transfer her to me so I can manage her memorial and add some sources to her? My membership # is 47188998. I also noticed that you have a lot of Cox memorials on Find A Grave...are you related to us? I want to take a closer look to see if you have info I don't have. I am so glad you put this up.

Please let me know if you are willing to transfer her.
