Please read before sending corrections:|
I'd very much prefer to transfer a memorial to someone who is researching the person listed than make corrections. Even if you are only distantly related or not related at all. If you know more, you are a better person to manage it than I am. (I do keep management of memorials for my own relatives rather than transfer those to well-meaning non-family members.)
Per Find a Grave guidelines, I do not add obituaries to biographies.
Please use the Suggest any other correction or addition link on the Edit tab of a memorial to request transfer of that memorial.
Feel free to use my photos under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. That means you can use them without asking me so long as you credit me, you don't sell them, and if you make something based off my photos, you must also let people use *that* on these terms. If you do not include attribution when you use or repost my photos, I will send a take-down notice. I don't ask for much. Please just include it so I don't have to be a bad guy.
All my photos are also available on Flickr in higher resolution, as Find a Grave limits photo sizes.

Sorry for screwing up - I got some sleep and maybe now my brain is functioning again. Usually I'm more astute!

What an awesome collection, right? The entire Noonan family is from that church, I have found so many records! I loved reading the Priest's journal on the building of the new church. The records give such an intimate look into the lives of this little parish.

thank you for the response. I completely understand now and thank you for taking the time to explain your reasons.
I do hope to locate John's parents burial location and will resubmit the request when I do.
As to the St. John's records - are you aware that they are available online? (FamilySearch.org). They are not indexed so they don't come up in a search of records, but you can browse the collection youself and search each page.

I was wondering if you might take a moment to explain why you denied the request to add John's birthdate and birth location to his memorial. I had also requested that you link him to his parents - this was also denied?
The Noonan family originated in Quebec and then settled in Bathurst. I am a descendant of John Noonan Sr.'s older brother, Denis. John Sr. was the only child that left Bathurst and moved to the states. I was so happy to find that you had posted the memorial for John Sr.'s son, John and his wife Georganna Noonan.
Will you reconsider linking John to his parents and adding the birth info that I provided. I do see that you'd prefer to transfer rather than do updates so I would be happy to accept this memorial if you would rather.

You are very welcome. My father is buried just up the hill from him, and it is always an honor to fulfill requests at SFNC.
