I have been working on my family history since about 2004, but have more recently begun using Find A Grave. I am excited by the possibilities Find A Grave offers for sharing information and making new discoveries. Surnames I am working on in particular are Ripke, Nehring, Anderson, Hubbard, Brewer, Brown, Wright, Scharff, Rahn, Carter, Robbins, Bowker and Johnson.|
I have documented several Hawaiian cemeteries while vacationing. I have no further information on any of those memorials. I am happy to add information to these Hawaiian memorials, or transfer memorials to you, if you are related.

|James Bellert||LEIGH OBITUARIES|
I had been routinely posting obituaries to the memorials I created. Then someone complained to the Find A Grave administrators about one of the obituaries. The Administrators made me aware of their policies regarding posting of obituaries in any manner to memorials. This is what it says in the "Help with Find A Grave" section:
"Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published.
Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record. Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright. Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed."
I thought the wording was a bit ambiguous so I emailed the administrators and their reply was, in no uncertain terms, that we MUST have written permission from the newspaper of online source to copy and post obituaries in Find A Grave memorials.

Thank you for your suggested edits of the memorial above. Would you please provide the source(s) of your information?
I appreciate your help keeping Find A Grave an accurate and valuable genealogical tool!
It was a mistake. Here is the database I looked up. I was thinking it was her maiden name but it was her husband's first name. Thanks for the correction.

|Våge Ericsson||RE: Svante M Carlson memorial|
It´s a long story.
First I can tell you that Svante M was born in a little village called Urshult in Unnaryd parish. There is a problem in Find A Grave - You can´t enclose more than a parish.
I found Svante when I looked for two emigrants from Grysshult in Unnaryd parish - Nils Oskar Johansson and his sister Anna Linnea. They emigrated 1923 and they travelled to their Uncle Svante Carlson in Boyd,MN. NY passenger list.
I´m a Little related to Nils Oskar but just very Little. I live about 30 km from Unnaryd so it´s rather easy to find people there. Just ask if you need anything.
