Lifelong resident of North Carolina. I grew up in the Sandhills area near a small town, Vass. I graduated from UNC-CH in 1971 and rec'd my Masters in 1976.

Over the last 40 years, I have taught school, was a school principal, purchased a local hardware store in Apex, NC, and later worked for several years for Home Depot as an associate, assistant manager, and then a store manager.

My wife and I live outside of Cary, NC and enjoy our two grown children that live nearby. Besides genealogy, I enjoy gardening, reading, and staying active in local political debate.
