Janette was born in Livingston, Texas in 1955 to Ed and Faye Goulder. She moved with her parents to Dayton, Texas in 1968 where her family has remained. Family history has been a passion of hers for the past 10 years resulting in several 250+ page books that take the form of detailed family group biographies. She is an active member of local chapters of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and Daughters of the American Revolution. Her greatest discovery was royal lineage via her Godfrey grandmother to great-grandmother #8 Catherine Marbury-Scott.
