Henry Lewis Golsan, Jr.
Teresa, thank you for taking the photographs of the tombstones for Henry Lewis Golsan, Jr. and his son & daughter-in-law, James Gaston Golson & Lucy [née Waldrop] Golsan; who are buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.

It is thanks to individuals like you; who volunteer their time to bring ancestors closer together, even if it is only through a photograph of their final resting place. This will help future generations in our family to know a little more about their ancestor. ~ with appreciation, George Gaston

Thanks so much. Someone decided to have the 2 cemetery's merged and it has been such a mess to get them back as they should be.

I added the bulk in both cemetery's so I have been checking mine to see if they are showing up where they belong.

Yes their were some markers but could not see names.
In that area of the cemetery, most were slabs on the ground. It was inches thick in leaves for many years.

Words can not express how much I appreaciate you taking the time out and getting these pictures, and then posting them. Thanks so much. This is some of my mom's family that she did not know about. Ophir was named after a community in Dekalb Co. AL, close to where my mom was raised. Thanks again.

No problem. I really want to know more about this cemetery. I just stumbled on it when I cut through Kaley Dr. a few months back. I couldn't believe it wasn't already on here.
