I search out those in my area who made a difference in the lives of others and/or those who might have been all but forgotten. Then make an attempt to give them their due by creating memorials or adding info to memorials that already exist. I believe they earned the right to not be forgotten with the passing of time.
I promise to never become a high number contributor or one that rushes to buy the newspapers just to enter the obits on FAG. I promise to transfer memorials to their "APPROPRIATE" requesters (this does not include Family Pools or Related Family pools) and never act as if memorials or pictures of headstones belong to me. They don't. I have experienced those who feel this way and I am totally disgusted with their pompous claims of, its my gas, time, camera, sore feet, sweat, blood, and tears. Whine, whine, whine,(check out the definition of "VOLUNTEER" in Webster's) or I have had too many transfers deleted therefore refusing to transfer memorials to those requesting them. What a lame excuse that is. Hey, if they delete them then just post them again. The best excuse for not transferring memorials has to be claiming to be the caretaker of a certain county's cemetery records. Then you offer to add or link info but request patience of the requester because you are only 60 to 100 requests behind.
"COMEON" people. Just do the right thing.
