Bio and Links
Bio Photo For as long as I can remember I have been going to the cemeteries of my relatives on Memorial day because it was important to my parents. They always taught me not to step on the graves out of respect for the dead. Now I find myself doing it all the time to get the right shot. I have always liked hearing about my family history but have just recently starting really getting into it. Then I found find-a-grave. WOW! I was hooked right away! I've told people this is like Easter and Christmas all wrapped into one. You have to hunt the graves and then you get to unwrap the mystery. I love doing this and get so much fulfillment from it.
I am researching the Cotterman's, Severing's, Self's, Whitmer's, Overmyer's, Wyrick's and Larimer's. Most of my family came from Germany to PA in the 1700's then settled in Perry Co, Ohio.
I am glad that there are sites such as find-a-grave because I have been in a lot of cemeteries that are not going to be there soon and need to be photographed while they can to have a record of them.
If you want to use my pictures I have taken, please feel free to do so. I don't need any recognition. I do this to help other people.

*** I have recently (2012) read about people not wanting to transfer memorials to people if they are not of the immediate family category (Mom's, dad's, brother's, sister's, and grandparent's). I do not understand why! If I have a memorial that is not in the above category and you are related somehow (I don't care how) and I am not related, I have no problem transferring the memorial. If someone else wants to manage the memorial, I will let them. I mainly add memorials just to get the info on here. I am not in this for the glory of saying, "Look at how many memorials I have created!"

I thought that Elizabeth was his grandmother just because of her age. Still looking for obits or other documentation for better proof of which Andrew this is....

I saw the memorial BUT I am not sure it is the correct Andrew Saum...I can't find a obit or a birth date. There are many Andrew Saums in the census records for his time frame so this might not be the correct one......
