Even though I'm glad to help others with updates and even when I run across past obituaries and I transcribe them, please leave the information intact as they are written and give credit where credit is due. Glad to be here to do my research and help others in return. I don't expect anything else in return, and I don't ask for money, even though I have spent more then my wife would allow. LOL.

Kenny: I am Jody Max Crawford's daughter. That is not my dad, that is a picture of his brother. I do not have a problem with you adding my father, but I would like his pic changed. I can email you a picture. I do not have an account or I would update it myself.

Tommaso DiDia
I went to the cemetery this morning and went to section U again to look around. The bad news is that I still did not find a marker/headstone. The good news is that I made notes of other markers/ headstones, came home and looked them up, and am narrowing in on where he is buried. The office was incorrect as - although the section is not very deep and mostly has 9 rows, it does fan out toward the southern part of the section where it has up to 15. According to grave number, he should be somewhere in there. My next step is to give the info about the closest graves and have them pinpoint the exact location. I will keep you posted as to the result.

RE: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
I stopped at the office today. They looked Tommaso up on their database, confirmed he is buried in section U, and said there are very few stones there. They were also a bit baffled as they said that section only has 9 tiers, not 10. I told them I would return (not enough time today) and write down names of others who do have markers. Then, we will have a better idea of where he is in relation to that. The groundskeepers might then be able to figure out the exact location of his burial site.

The cemetery does not have a listing of the graves with markers. I was thinking that it might be nice if they at least put a name plaque where missing stones are.

Although the office has a record of him being buried there, they said they do not have additional information dating back that far. So, I will gladly persevere and try to come up with an answer for you but it may take longer than hoped for.

As far as the others with missing stones ... One, I knew exactly where they should be as they have plots 1and 3 which are located on either side of their 15 years old daughter's monument, but there are none. Another is buried in the same section as Tommaso so, when I check on Tomasso, I will also check on him. The final one ... The individual picked the info off a findagrave page that they didn't create and there is no cemetery listing for him there. As you know, unfortunately, everyone doesn't have a stone. But, I will definitely try to solve the mystery of Tommaso and will keep you updated.

Hi! I am not sure there is a marker for this young man. I am trying to map this area - not an easy task - no map currently exists for this section.
If and when I find his grave, and if there is a marker, I will post a photo. ~ b

RE: Thank you
Hi Ken,
I dug out the names and dates on the stone. The are Anthony S 1901-1960 and Theresa L 1904-1977. Let me know if you need anything else!

RE: Thank you
I noticed that too. I remember one is Theresa. When I go back tomorrow, I'll look at it again. If I can't read it, I'll ask in the office.

RE: Bernard Didia
Kenny,

It is my understanding that they used both spellings of Polizzi / Pulizzi. As for the Marrone's, my two Aunts, Olivia (Eva) (Didia) Marrone and Rosalie (Rose) (Didia) Marrone married brothers - Michele Marrone and Russell Marrone. I know they had several siblings. If I can find more information, I will send it to you.

Bernard Didia
Kenny, I am not sure who posted the information for Bernard Didia at Ressurection Cemetery, but his Mother's name is not Hannah, it is Madeline A. Polizzi. His wife's name is Jean (Elwood) Didia. She too is buried at Resurrection Cemetery.

Bernard DiDia is my dad's brother (William Didia 7/31/26 - 4/8/96). They also have a brother John who is deceased. John is buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. John was born in Michigan on July 29th, 1931 and passed away on March 27th, 1964.

They have a sister Rose (Didia) Marrone, born December 19, 1927 and passed away on December 6, 2002.

Hope this information helps with your project.

Also please note another spelling of Didia.

Debbie
