As a life long resident of Berrien County, and Southwestern MI, I am proud to add some small portion of its history to all that are interested. I have been recording cemeteries since the early 1960's. My interest has been in the history of these older burial grounds and the sites of early burials in Berrien and Cass Co, MI. Many of these areas have been forgotten and vandalized. I have tried to raise awareness of the significance of maintaining and locating the resting places of veterans, pioneer families and the historical importance of the sites.
Find A Grave has been the best idea since the wheel. I started my family history work back when this type of sharing was still free (actually in high school, the dark ages). I understand the reason for fee based sites, but new-bees to this type of research need help too. So I support Free research sites.
