I give of my time and resources because I love being able to help others find a missing piece of their family. I also love the format that Find A Grave provides. A FREE resource for family members to aid in their research and the ability to leave a message in memory of them. |
The majority of the memorials I've added are not my family. When I went to a cemetery to fulfill a photo request I would often find many stones in the area with the same family name on them. I would photograph and post those as well if a memorial was not already made. It is my hope that it would help family members locate lost family members or aid in their research.
I will gladly transfer any of my memorials so they may be maintained by family members. I am honored to have had the opportunity to photograph and/or document a piece of family history for you and for future generations. When asking for a transfer please include your FAG member number. I cannot transfer a memorial to you without this number.

Hello! I received your email for me to delete a memorial, but now I can not find that email. Can you message it to me again. Also, do you want me to transfer any of those other memorials to you (the ones you submitted edits on)? I am not related to any of them.

Theodore is my husband's grandfather. You are credited with taking the photograph of Theodore's grave maker.
Glodina Lanam, Theodore's wife and my husband's grandmother, is on the same grave marker. I was hoping you would allow me to transfer a copy of your photo of this marker to Glodina's Find a Grave memorial #146958345. I would, of course, maintain your credit for the photo. I'm not even sure I can do it, actually.
Is this something you must do since you took the photo? I appreciate your help!

I was just going by what it said on the marker. But I've seen mistakes before. I should have checked the MCPL obituary index. They have a listing for Ruth Hellen (Allen) Arthur, Jan 20, 1947. But nothing for anyone named Arther. I'm sorry I bothered you before checking.

Thank you for the information. I have added it to the bio along with where I obtained my information. Maybe someone will have proof somewhere.

Thank you for letting me know about the duplicates, I am not sure how it happens sometimes I try to double check!! I have been working on Valhalla again I try to go back and look later sometimes I can catch them but I agree there is a glitch or something.

Hi Shirley, Thanks for letting me know. I have a cousin who is going to go visit her sister near the cemetery in a few weeks. She said she would be my back up plan. I'll let her know.
I was wondering if you would be so kind as to add the photos you added to William Sherman Chambers (123703619) and Ella Norman Chambers (123703576) to the memorials I created? They are: William Sherman Chambers (102407093) and Ella Norman Chambers (102407220). I would be so honored to have your photos on those memorials. I received a message from another Find-a-Grave member stating these photos were posted. My memorials were created in 2012 and the memorials with the photos were created in 2014. I'm not going to ask the duplicate memorials to be removed (I think we are all old enough to police our own actions), but I would love to have your photos grace my memorials.
Thank you so much,

Hi, You originally created the page for my uncle, Find A Grave Memorial# 80772548. The woman who sent me the obits said she would take the photo of the headstone after we had it set. It is there now. Would you let me know if you were the person who volunteered to take the photo. If not, I'll send it thru the regular channels. Thanks.
|Janice (Teel) Crites||RE: William Crites|
Thank you for the transfer. I sent you a note, after the first request, to tell you that this memorial was a duplicate of mine (#92121678).
I do have family's permission to add the obit, but I would like your permission to add your tombstone photo to my first memorial.
Since this memorial is a duplicate, I will need to delete it. I know it's not proper to delete a transferred memorial, but in this case feel it is necessary.
His wife, Marie's, memorial is also a duplicate of mine.
I will wait to hear back from you, before I add your tombstone photo to my memorial.
Thank you for this consideration!
