Sorry but I have no idea why the stone was carved to read South Dakota instead of South Carolina.

Infant Daughter Burroughs
I wanted to see if you could connect Mary Ransom Burrough's infant Daughter to her. She is buried in Scotland County, NC.

Infant Daughter Burroughs #156755610

I would be thankful for any help on this.

With sincere thanks in advance,
Michael McDonald

Pruitt photo requests in Oaklawn Cemetery
I added photo of Moses Pruitt Jr., but not M. Elaine Pruitt. There was another person visiting and decorating a nearby grave, I did not want to intrude on their privacy. I will go back in a few days to get the photo.

She is interred next to her husband. I have connected her also to her parents. Have a wonderful day.

RE: Thornley Memorial
Went back and still didn't find him and I was with 2 others that I shamed into looking too. That's what he got for finding the cemetery on google maps. Don't know if he'll find any more for me after that. I did find someone else's tombstone under a bush but thankfully his had a photo taken already. There are some numbers on a board at the entrance so I'll try calling and seeing if they can find out if he is buried there. Nobody answered the phone today.

RE: Thornley Memorial
I found about 100 people in the cemetery across the street from me that have no tombstone there. I've asked people if they had another cemetery when they first started burying people as they are all old ones and have been told they were only buried here. The church was moved 1/4 mile but who knows about anything else. I also found obits where they intended to bury someone somewhere and found them in an entirely different one. I have death certificates that say they are to be buried somewhere and they aren't there. I even went over to the cemetery 1/2 mile away and the cemetery and funeral home put up there tents and nobody was buried there. Just try and fight them when you find the funeral stone in another cemetery altogether. I have one cousin that has 3 tombstones and was cremated and had her ashes tossed where they use to live. She just wanted relatives to find there dates of birth and death.

I might go back and check again for him. I was wondering if some might be under a tree or bush that has grown up. Never know. I found some in another cemetery under branches and tree limbs.
