James Comer's error in editing
I have found your problem, you have two accounts.
#1 47438808 you have had for 3 years 4 months and with 8 memorials.
#2 46892247 you have had for 7 years 4 months with one memorial, the one you can't edit. James Comer # 100105313

My suggestion would be to recopy the one memorial with the error, James Comer into the # 1 account and at that time make the cemetery correction. Then cancel the # 2 account.

Problem solved.

Regards,
David in Wichita

RE: pleasant hampton
Marsha,
In the 1850 census Pleasant is living next to my great great grandfather, Harrison Dunn. The household is: Claiborne, Stacy Ann, Manerva, and Pleasant.
Also his KY death record lists his father as Laborn Hampton, mother unknown. The informant on his death record was his second wife Sallie Cates Hampton.
In 1860 census Pleasant and first wife Drucilla Ballinger are living next to her father Joseph Ballinger.
Pleasant and Drucilla were married 3-1-1856 in Rockcastle. They had : Mary J b1857, Jasper N b1859, William Garrett b1861, Anna J b1863, Joseph W b1866, and John Frank b1869.
John Frank married Telitha Abney and their son Simeon "Simie" married my first cousin Bertha King.
Also, Drucilla died after 1870, and Pleasant married Sallie Ann Cates abt 1875.
On my great aunt's marriage record Pleasant was the minister that performed the ceremony on the side of the road.

Hope this helps,

James

Surname of Comer
Reading a note you posted with another F.A.G contributor and noticed the surname of Comer. My great great grandmother's maiden name was Malinda Comer. She married Larkin Monk and lived in Missouri. Any connection?

RE: william hampton
Hi Marsha--the cemetery also gave me a location for another William P Hampton (1910-1987), who is interred with his wife Genevieve Hampton. Would these be anyone that you are looking for? These graves ARE marked with a double headstone, and, of course, I took a couple of photos. :-)

I am always saddened when a grave is unmarked. The cemetery is very helpful in providing grave locations--without this info, it would be next to impossible to locate a grave here. The cemetery also has a block map for each section in the cemetery. These maps show each grave by burial name, and indicate if it's unmarked. Yes, I added the floral arrangement at his gravesite.

Sorry I have no information on them except what I've posted from my cemetery records. I'm in the process of trying to photograph every stone in every cemetery in Mifflin County. If you find other relatives that I've posted, please use the edit tab at the memorial and just put "please transfer". I'm not related to anyone in Mifflin County so I will transfer no matter how distantly you may be related.
