I am interested in the families descending from Elder Jacob Cropsey, John Murray, Aspinwall P. Straight, Asahel Chillson, Isaac Gilbert, Silas Bowen, Benjamin Bridge, and Consider Hyland. I have lots of family info on these lines. I'm also interested in the family of John and Bridget McQuaid of Wisconsin and Alois Schaumberg of Mineral Point WI.

I have 163 unidentified photos of people from these families on a Pinterest board at http://www.pinterest.com/prairieflowers2/who-am-i/. If you have photos of these families, would you look at the board and see if you can identify any of them. One of my genealogical goals is to get names on all the old photos.

Mrs. Bee
RE: Sarah Cloyes/Clayes
Thank you, as always. I have updated the newer memorial, including name variants that should at least help with Google searches. I've also requested that the two memorials be merged.

RE: Burghardt Family
No, my Burghardt family came from Germany to Detroit. The orig. name was Burchard. My father was Louis Burghardt and he owned a Funeral Home in Chelsea, Michigan. His father owned several businesses in the Springwells area of Detroit.

Dianne, I don't have anything on that. I did find on familysearch.org the following.

Justus Burdick born 12 Nov 1836, Detroit, Michigan
Parents: Justus & Adeline (Mower) Burdick.

Sorry I couldn't help you more. Good luck with your research.

RE: Kathryn V. Steil
I am not sure what you are asking me. If you can link her to more of her family, sure go ahead. To me it sounds like she has a second grave??

Hello! I am sorry, I have no information on this person. There is no Emma next to him. I photographed the entire Sanctuary, and if she was there, a memorial would have been created for her. However, she could be elsewhere in the cemetery. I think you should contact the office before you rule out this person. Good luck.

Regards,
B.J.

We have no idea why he was there. There might be some information at the Beatrice Historical Society. I would try them first.

RE: Alanson Mosher
Thanks! I'm looking for information about my Mosher ancestors and coming across lots of interesting info about unrelated (or distantly related) Moshers. I decided I might as well contribute to those memorials for any distant cousins who are doing research.

Diane,
According to his obit in the Beatrice Daily Sun, 18 Nov 1909, he was in Julesburg with his son, Robert, conducting business for the Beatrice Creamery company of Lincoln.
Respectfully,
Joe

RE: Photo of Simon and
Wow, thank you, Dianne, for the info and also the new picture. I love discovering more family history and photos, even though part of her story was a sad one. I have a photo I will put up that we believe is Frances, probably an 8th-grade graduation photo. (She looks tall in it, but perhaps she had only just reached her full growth.) Her father, George Washington Small, had a hop farm in North Albany.
