I am interested in the families descending from Elder Jacob Cropsey, John Murray, Aspinwall P. Straight, Asahel Chillson, Isaac Gilbert, Silas Bowen, Benjamin Bridge, and Consider Hyland. I have lots of family info on these lines. I'm also interested in the family of John and Bridget McQuaid of Wisconsin and Alois Schaumberg of Mineral Point WI.

I have 163 unidentified photos of people from these families on a Pinterest board at If you have photos of these families, would you look at the board and see if you can identify any of them. One of my genealogical goals is to get names on all the old photos.

RE: Odell Gravesite
I am known locally as the Fairbury history expert. I found Levi Judson Odell because of the patents he was granted. He moved from inventing corn planters, to typewriters, and then women's shavers.

On, I found where his wife died June 26, 1933 in Los Angelos. If I get time, I will check the Fairbury Blade microfilm at the Dominy Library in fairbury, maybe they had a Fairbury obit for her.

I found this on the Internet a while back......

Odellís trail of patents certainly takes us to Glendora, California, from 1910-1916, and to an Odell Manufacturing Company in Los Angeles. Leviís father, James Henry Odell, died in Glendora in 1915, and his mother, Mary, in Glendora in 1918. Levi himself died on June 10, 1919 (leaving only one other family member, Levi's youngest brother Frank Eugene Odell, still alive at that time).
During his Californian period, Levi Odell was concentrating on the design and manufacture of safety razors.

RE: Odell Gravesite
I assumed that Levi's parents are buried in Fairbury, with Levi being buried in Glendora, CA. It says on the big grave stone that Levi is interred in Glendora.

I am not sure where Levi's wife is buried. I have very little info on her, don't even have her birth or death date.
