I am interested in the families descending from Elder Jacob Cropsey, John Murray, Aspinwall P. Straight, Asahel Chillson, Isaac Gilbert, Silas Bowen, Benjamin Bridge, and Consider Hyland. I have lots of family info on these lines. I'm also interested in the family of John and Bridget McQuaid of Wisconsin and Alois Schaumberg of Mineral Point WI.

I have 163 unidentified photos of people from these families on a Pinterest board at http://www.pinterest.com/prairieflowers2/who-am-i/. If you have photos of these families, would you look at the board and see if you can identify any of them. One of my genealogical goals is to get names on all the old photos.

RE: Rielly family
No, my line is:
Catherine Jordan Rielly (James) 1801-1877
John & Bridget (Darcy) Rielly
Joseph Bernard & Vencencia (Meylor) Rielly
Robert Reginald & Evelyn (Staver) Rielly--my parents

In my program I have this about Bridget Rielly McQuaid--
In her obituary, Bridget is described as a "devout member of the Catholic Church, a kind friend, good neighbor, loving mother and many appreciative friends pay tribute to her memory." It also states that her brother, Joseph (Rielly), and her sister, Mary (McKenna), were at her bedside when she died.

And this about her husband, John McQuaid--
In his obituary, John is described as "a man of thrift, enterprise and integrity. He succeeded in acquiring a good share of the world's goods, but when prepared to enjoy the gains of his life's toils he was called to taste the more perfect fruits of the unseen land. Possessed of fine social qualities, a generous heart and strong sympathies he won the esteem and friendship of a large circle of acquaintances who can miserate with deep sorrow his departure from this life."

Also, my brother, Ron Rielly, did land searches on the immigrants and found this--
John McQuaid received a patent for 40 acres in 1855. He and Bridget purchased much more land over the next twenty years.

RE: Rielly family
No, I think you are doing a fine job. My brothers and I have been researching our families for years. We come down from John Rielly, to Joseph Rielly, and then our father, Robert Rielly. The Rielly immigrants are really a great story and I just fell in love with all of them. They were such good people. We found a lot of information on them.

I have looked and did bookmark that link, but a few months ago, my PC crashed.... anyway, this link is a Quaker link http://www.swarthmore.edu/friends-historical-library/quaker-calendar

I did get her information directly from Quaker records... but birth was either not there, or to difficult to read. I will go back and take a second look, now that you have a "date that I can compare it with.
I may not get to it today, but will asap.
Blessings...

Thanks for your replies Diane. What was Sarah's father's name and where did he pass away? Maybe [together] we can find his grave.
