I am interested in the families descending from Elder Jacob Cropsey, John Murray, Aspinwall P. Straight, Asahel Chillson, Isaac Gilbert, Silas Bowen, Benjamin Bridge, and Consider Hyland. I have lots of family info on these lines. I'm also interested in the family of John and Bridget McQuaid of Wisconsin and Alois Schaumberg of Mineral Point WI.

I have 163 unidentified photos of people from these families on a Pinterest board at http://www.pinterest.com/prairieflowers2/who-am-i/. If you have photos of these families, would you look at the board and see if you can identify any of them. One of my genealogical goals is to get names on all the old photos.

RE: George Washington Cropsey family
It breaks my heart when I see the huge amount of old photos out there that have no names on them. We are trying to sort through my family's unidentified pictures and a few people have been able to name some of them. I know that the paid membership of ancestry is amazing! The free one really is worthless. I now have that membership and I also have the more expensive membership of newspapers.com. If you get with me in email. I will search for you in the newspapers and ancestry. I will be glad to help you out. I love doing that

I am sorry to say that I am not kin to them. When I come across a name, I try to memorialize them and link them to as many family members as possible. I love the hunt. Have you done a search on Ancestry? If not I might could do some research for you and see if I find any family over there. I had several memorials and just about gave up on hearing from family and out of the blue I will get a hit. I hope you find the family

I have transferred management to you of the above memorial so you can delete the duplicate. Thanks for your work on find-a-grave.

Thank you for the correction on the birth and death date for noted memorial. I agree with you the stone appears to shows death in 1846. Birth is calculated based on age at death. However I have noted in the book "Tombstone Inscriptions, Buckskin Township, Ross County, Ohio, 1999" compiled by Ross County Genealogical Society they shows death date 26 Aug 1840. I went on findagrave.com and look for duplicate, but could not fine. I am not a relative of the HIXSON, and if you are a relative I would be glad to transfer this memorial to you.

RE: Hixon
About a mile house is Hixson cemetery, you might want to check it out. I have several hixon's that I've taken pictures of, your welcome to them if you want. I can not put time into Find A Grave any more and am looking for family to take memorials off my hands.

I transferred this file to you. I appreciate the information you sent me. I had seen a version of the information Ralph had put on the internet but it was very hard to make out. The one you sent is easier to understand and I will keep it for future use.
I am sure you have much more on this family than I do.
Thanks for all your hard work!
