Thanks so much for taking your time to visit Mt. View and take her photo. I apologize for not thanking you back in 2011 when you went there, but things got busy for me and it slipped to the back burner. So with that in mind, thanks again.

Where are your parents buried? I finally figured where you are in my Fly family file.

Thank you for this. Much appreciated. I saw the photos, they are wonderful & thanks for posting them. Were they your grandmothers?

RE: Franklin Stone Gardner at Hickory Grove
I had a hunch that I knew where Franklin's stone was ... and in this case I happened to be right. As a bonus, the lighting was good for fulfilling another request that I had found a little while back.

Charles Arthur Chase 1858-1925
I am writing the first spreadsheet from the American point of view about 19th century rotunda panoramas. These were the biggest paintings in the world, 50 x 400=20,000 square feet, housed in their own rotundas which were 16-sided polygons. Chicago in 1893 had 6 panorama companies and 6 panorama rotundas. CHARLES ARTHUR CHASE and his CHASE ELECTRIC CYCLORAMA put on a demonstration in the old CHICAGO FIRE panorama on Michigan between Madison and Monroe August 23,1894.The Chase family was from Englewood. The Reed & Gross company in Englewood produced from 1885-88 units of BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG and JERUSALEM ON THE DAY OF THE CRUCIFIXION for cities from coast to coast and around the world: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England, Europe, South America. A Reed & Gross JERUSALEM can be seen today in Ste Anne de Beaupre outside Quebec in the original building that served as a studio in Englewood. The 1/10th scale CHICAGO FIRE (40 x 5 feet) is being restored by Chicago Historical Society.
