1995 - 2000 - made some contacts with my distant cousins on the tree, 2000 to 2010 - took time off- 2011 to now updating and correcting my files in 2012 - My Family History Visit & Collected & Corrected.

What if someone was cremated or does not have a traditional 'grave'?
We believe everyone should be remembered equally and have built our site to support most of the common alternatives to burial. These include cremation, lost or buried at sea, and donated to medical science.
If the individual's body was lost or their ashes were scattered, but they do have a cenotaph or memorial marker in a cemetery, please add the memorial page as if they are buried in the cemetery and add a Note this is a cenotaph and what happened to the individual's remains (if known).
If there is NO KNOWN existing cenotaph or memorial marker, you must use the Family and Friends form to add the memorial with one of the alternatives to traditional burial.

NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).

Also NOTE : Information on Other online sites, also contain many errors too, with other documents miss transcribed by volunteers with bifocals, and Magnifying glass, etc...

Over me, and my Dearly Departed Family members and I am so sorry you are so mistaken about that.
Most of my / our Family Members have paid for the privilege to be buried in a cemetery plot.

Dear volunteer, just because you have documented most of the people buried in a cemetery, or in the county or in the next county, over the last ten years, it doesn't give you the right of ownership of the - Find A grave – memorials online – and as a reminder, these were once families like it, or not.

I am Not Perfect, I tried to get the information updated or corrected, or passed on to whomever with a please and a thank you, and it takes everyone's help, and suggestions, to review it.
I have no intentions of doing a whole cemetery. Nor do I want to be responsible for a whole cemetery, just those family members that are related by birth, marriage, or adoption, on our family tree and some are distant relatives to me.

Thank you for contributing to this vital resource -- it is thanks to people like yourself that we receive countless letters from people who are grateful to find the burial information of an old friend, parent or loved one. Find the graves of ancestors, create virtual memorials, add 'virtual flowers' and a note to a loved one's grave, etc. Our information comes from over 400,000 + registered Find A Grave contributors.

Some people are angry to find a loved one when they come to Find A Grave, even if the memorial was added by another relative, as is usually the case, and some people are elated and send us notes of thanks for building an online memorial to their family member.
