I have been researching my family for over 15 years. I have found cemeteries & tombstones have a wealth of information, to offer.
If I have prepared a memorial for your family member and you would like it transferred to you, please use the Edit link located in the upper right hand corner of each memorial and use the Suggest a Correction (S.A.C.) option.
I have no problem transfering memorials, I'm not a "collector" . . . . . just ask me via the S.A.C. link. Memorials are always best kept in the loving hands of family members.
Also, if you find any errors I have made, please use the EDIT tab on the memorials to send me the correction. I appreciate people helping me keep memorials free of errors.
Also please send any additional information you have via the same method and I will add it to the memorial site. --------
First, thank you for your contributions to Find a Grave. This is a wonderful service you are providing.
Possibly you can help me with a question regarding your entry for Catherine Hammersley Marlatt. The headstone photo you provided appears to show Catherine's death date as Dec. 15 1822, but assuming she was the wife of John Marlatt b.1794, we know she was alive at the time of the 1870 US Census, so the actual date on the headstone is probably Dec. 15 1877. Also the headstone shows she was 81 years old at the time of death if I am reading this correctly. Subtracting 81 years from 1877 yields an approximate year of birth of 1796. The 1796 birth and 1877 death years conflict with the dates in your posting. You show Catherine's birth as Sep. 24, 1797 and her death as Dec. 15, 1878. I was wondering if you would be so kind to send me your source citations for Catherine's birth and date dates.
Thank you so much.

Your Aunt Alpha Hi Vicky, I too am on a quest to find my relatives. A good part of this search evolves around the Reese family. My great grandmother is Grace Reese Patterson. Grace had two sons. One was my grandfather, Arleigh Earl Patterson. In his memoir he spoke highly of the Reese family and that "one Aunt" that was close to his age he liked most. He was born in 1900. I'm guessing that Aunt was your Aunt Alpha. She would also be an to me:). Looking forward to hearing more about the Reese family
Madlyn, Charles Salmons daughter Hi Vicki, I am, along with the previous post from Clarice, looking for information on your cousin, Charles Salmon. Specifically looking for information on Charles and Kathryn Archer Salmons daughter Madlyn Lucille. We have traced her to 1940 census and then blank wall. I have a picture of her with the name Matheny on the back. Don't know if that is her married name or not. Charles's wife, Kathryn, was my grandmother (Alta Archer Dyer) sister. Any information would be so appreciated. Blessings Janice Dyer Doran
Madlyn Lucille salmans I am trying to locate information on Madlyn Lucille Salmans. She was the daughter of Charles and Kathryn Archer Salmans. She was born about 1918 in Cambridge,Ohio. She was my birth mother and I would like further information. The last information I have is from the 1940 census. She was 22 and living with her father. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Any information would be appreciated. Clarice Estes
Lillian Salmans I have sent you an edit request for Lillian. She is buried next to her unmarried sister, Emma Carder. With a little checking, it is clear that the name is Carder and not Carter. I hope that this knowledge will open up a new avenue of research for you, and for others, such as the person for whom I am fulfilling a photo request for the headstone of Lillian.
