I have a B.A. in history with a minor in museum studies from Michigan State University and a Master of Library & Information Science from Wayne State University. My background is in local research, writing, speaking, and exhibitions. I work as a public historian, educator, and archivist in Lansing, Michigan.

I am the founding president of the Holt-Delhi Historical Society (Delhi Township, Ingham County, Michigan), and I sit on the board of two other historical organizations in the area.
