Bio and Links
Bio Photo Don't let the picture fool you. It was taken in 1959 for Senior Picture Day!

In 1974 as a family, we started doing research on "Daddy's" side (all Cowles in USA are related - easy). Yes, I'm a Yankee, and all my family is up North, and I'm here in southwest Virginia. So, I'm trying to help the folks who aren't here, or who can't go to where their love ones are buried. I'VE MOVED BACK TO INDIANA AND AM LIVING IN STARKE COUNTY INDIANA (as of January 2013).

Because I don't drive anymore, I depend on my eldest daughter to aid me in grocery shopping, doctor's visit, etc. AND TOMBSTONING (that's what I call it)!

If anyone wants a memorial transfered to them, please let me know. You don't have to "prove it" like I see some people want you to do. Just let me know, and it'll be in your care!

Sorry I couldn't accept your edit for changing her name since death, burial states Carrie... I haven't found any evidence to state she was born in Barry county most I've found the mother maiden name is different and her mother was Robinson. If you have found some document stating she was indeed born that day/month in Barry Co I be happy to change but at this time I can't confirm your information sorry. I like to be sure the info is correct before changing. Thank you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. MJ

Uncle John W Allgood, 49566558

Uncle John W Allgood 1876-1939 is a brother of my Grandfather George Washington Allgood.
There is a badly torn place from wear in one of the pictures I posted. {It is not an x. It is a tear from age.} The photo is most likely 100 years old. It needs restoring.
I want my Allgood Family in Mecklenburg County to see & print copies of the old family photo's. They are my pictures not my memorials. I did not create the memorials. Such as creating the memorial & taking the tombstone.
Perhaps many people don't understand. I do not want my pictures taken to other sights such as I see many people pick pictures off graves & take them to I would never do that to anyone. I would never put a tombstone of anyone's on
Thank you so much for taking pictures of my Allgood family's tombstones. You have made it possible for me to visit their graves through the computer. I would have never gotten to visit them if it hadn't been for volunteer workers like you. I could never express how much I appreciate your work with FindAGrave. I wish my Mother was alive so she too could see the lovely memorials you have created. She like me would cry from being grateful to see where our relatives are laid to rest.

I put in many hours linking families. I never link unless I have documentation.
Merry Christmas & Peace good will to all.

Gratefully yours.

Hello Margaret,

I don't think the linking instructions I gave you are any more complicated than doing any other copy-and-paste. All you're doing is copying the address bar information to your tree so the photo will pop up when you click.

Since I retired I prefer to contribute to Find A Grave rather than to other sites. If you prefer not to link, that's your choice.

I'm sorry you feel that I'm holding my own work "hostage" but that's my choice.

Hello Margaret,

I do not allow my photos to be posted on any other website. However, you may LINK to a photo:

Click on the Find A Grave photo you want, and copy the URL from the address bar (the URL will have both the GRid and the PIpi numbers). On the profile page of the person, in the bottom right corner, click on the<+web link> button. Paste the URL into the box and add a caption. Click on the button; once you do that, the name of the caption will appear in the Web Links Box.

Et voilą! By the way, I appreciate that you bothered to ask; you are only the second person to EVER do so. Let me know whether you need anything else.

Hi Margaret
I just put James Stanley into Find A

I finally put his son George H. Stanley #139516380
into Find A He married my grandmother's cousin Mabel D. "May" Babcock d/o Zachary Taylor Babcock and Clarissa Roxina Dake.

RE: McDowell Cemetery

You are welcome Margaret. I don't like those time stamps either. The photos look much nicer without it.

RE: Holy Hope Cemtery in Tucson
Addl pics have been posted for the Caruanas'.

Holy Hope Cemetery isn't very picturesque--neither the grounds or the mausoleum. Even tho the sun is shining, it is difficult to get half decent pics as either too much shadow or too much light!

Hello Margaret,

It turns out that Enoch Massecar is not on lot 268 as listed in the
book. He is beside his daughter Edith, who is beside her mother on
AD II-23. I posted his stone photo to his memorial and photos of the
stone of Edith to hers as well as the perspective photos
