Don't let the picture fool you. It was taken in 1959 for Senior Picture Day!|
In 1974 as a family, we started doing research on "Daddy's" side (all Cowles in USA are related - easy). Yes, I'm a Yankee, and all my family is up North, and I'm here in southwest Virginia. So, I'm trying to help the folks who aren't here, or who can't go to where their love ones are buried. I'VE MOVED BACK TO INDIANA AND AM LIVING IN STARKE COUNTY INDIANA (as of January 2013).
Because I don't drive anymore, I depend on my eldest daughter to aid me in grocery shopping, doctor's visit, etc. AND TOMBSTONING (that's what I call it)!
If anyone wants a memorial transfered to them, please let me know. You don't have to "prove it" like I see some people want you to do. Just let me know, and it'll be in your care!
I HAVE REMOVED MY E-ADDRESS FROM THIS SITE BECAUSE I'VE BEEN HACKED - SORRY!

Is Charles D, the same as Charles DeCharme? Email me if you like. I won't share your email.

I checked Orpha Bell Cassel and I don't have the tombstone photo for her. The only tombstone photo I have is for Frank, Cora & their parents, John Cassel & Sarah Gehman.
|Jan J||Charles W Cowles|
I tried to email you but the email we used before when we communicated, is invalid. I have looked up your request for Charles W Cowles and even though his grave is listed on Interment.net in Section A, the cemetery has NO information card on that name to tell me where it might be. They also tell me if there is no card, the person is not buried there, whether there is a marker or not. IF he is in the same section as Charles D Cowles, whose pic I posted on 07/08/14 along with Emily Cowles and Lois Cowles, he does not have a marker. I would have preferred to email this, rather than post it public, but I understand there were problems. Please feel free to email me if you wish.

|Homer Thiel||Andrew Umlor, Hawkins, Ambler|
Hi Margaret, I checked the Oakwood database and the Grand Traverse Rural Cemeteries database and Andrew Umlor is listed as "J. Andrew Umlor" and is in 2nd Addition Block 240 Lot 04 #12
Mary Hawkins (1856-1880)
Frank Hawkins (1869-1877)
Lillian Hawkins (1867-1877)
Lucy Atkinson Ambler (1822-1899)
None of these are listed in the Oakwood database or the Rural Cemeteries database.
Hattie Hawkins, James Hawkins, and Ann Hawkins are in Oakwood but do not have tombstones.

You are welcome Margaret. I don't like those time stamps either. The photos look much nicer without it.

|Linda ||RE: Holy Hope Cemtery in Tucson|
Addl pics have been posted for the Caruanas'.
Holy Hope Cemetery isn't very picturesque--neither the grounds or the mausoleum. Even tho the sun is shining, it is difficult to get half decent pics as either too much shadow or too much light!

|Kirt Hanford||RE: Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac, MI|
I did as requested. Had to copy and paste picture from Vernon's page to documents then install on Zora's page. They should have been of the same quality as I had originally used the same picture for both sites. Sorry you were not satisfied with the original entry. Kirt
|Paul Sutton Kamalsky||Massecar|
It turns out that Enoch Massecar is not on lot 268 as listed in the
book. He is beside his daughter Edith, who is beside her mother on
AD II-23. I posted his stone photo to his memorial and photos of the
stone of Edith to hers as well as the perspective photos
