I have been tracing my family roots for about 40 years. I was excited to find this site that helps to document and share with others. I am a retired educator...23 years as a math and computer teacher and then 17 years as a district technology director.|
The families I am tracing include the following: Winn, Brantingham, Santee, Ellyson, Schussler, Longenecker, Patterson, McMillan.
I am currently working on posting memorials and pictures for the following cemeteries in or near New Philadelphia, Ohio: East Ave, Evergreen Burial Park, Fair St (Ave), Tuscarawas County Home Infirmary, Jerusalem Church, and St Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
I can add information and links to any memorial for you, or if I have a memorial for one of your relatives, I'll transfer ownership upon request. (Please give your relationship to the person.) Please make the request via the Edit tab and then Suggest a correction...
A note about bio info: if you submit something to be put in a bio, I will put "Additional information courtesy of ____________". If you don't want your name on there, let me know.
Feel free to use any of the pictures that I have posted.

Many thanks for the transfer. Thanks for all you do for the Ancestors, you are a Stellar example of
what findagrave is all about. Always willing to pass on our Ancestors. See so many numbers people creating memorials in Findagrave that don't even add not so much as a flower to the memorial but won't do a transfer.
What you do matters and you are apprecitated more then I can express here. YOU ROCK BUD WINN!

I received notification that a photo did not match the memorial.
It appears to be a different Charles Hothem?

I would like you to transfer a memorial to me. William Ash memorial #93661593 in Tuscarawas County d.1922. William is my uncle, my great-grandfather's brother. Both are son's of Samuel Oesch who settled in the county in 1852.
Thank you, Bob and Donna Werner #48077983
Thanks for transferring my grandfather's memorial!

Bud, I spoke with Sup. Keith Limbacker (he says hi he know you). But he said he does not have any record of this Seth Warfield in his records, prob because of some early fire. He said if you would show him where the stone was he would put it in his records.
Anyway, do you have a better or larger photo of this Seth stone, and you have age 24 years, do you know if that is still legible.
Also, can you recommend someone in New Phil, that we can hire to do a probate search for this Seth at the Gen Hist Society. Seth had a sister or cousin named Harriet (Mrs. John) Benepe (married MD ca 1811), and she married a Samuel Thomas, after John Benepe died, ca 1833 in Tuscawaras Co.
Also, Harried and John Benepe, had son Seth W. Benepe, he married a Sarah Howe I think, and removed to Illinois.
Seth bought land in 1826, then died shortly after, so my theory is he must have had a probate to dispose of this land. I am hoping to get a closer death date.
Any help appreciated.

Thank you so much for adding the information I sent and doing edits. I have not found out where my cousin is, but as soon as I do, I will be linking them together.
