|I absolutely love this site! I enjoy exploring and finding the different cemeteries and sometimes it can be a real challenge! I live in west-central Louisiana near the oldest city in Louisiana (Natchitoches) and the Texas border. When I go grave hunting I always try to take the best photo I can because I know that is what I would want. I don't mind taking a little extra time cleaning up the area if necessary. Most of the cemeteries around me seem to be very well maintained. I give permission for all those that I take photos for to use my photos in other areas and if you would like the higher resolution photos, just email me and ask. I would be more than happy to send them to you!|
My own genealogy lines are these names - Houghton, Wobig, Hovland, Zemke, Skindingsrud, Fuglien, Scheuneman which are based in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. My husband's line consists of these names - Johnson, Hollis, Collins, Neal, Nugent, Stegall, Williams, Bennett, Baldridge, Cox, Evans, Buckelew or maybe Buckliew which seem to be based in Louisiana, Arkansas, Virginia and North Carolina. If you have information on any of these lines, please contact me at email@example.com because I would love to talk with you!

|Robert Wells Jr||Memorial# 24704097|
This memorial is for John H. Williams located at the
Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery
I visited the cemetery that had a sign that said that it was the Smyrna Baptist Cemetery. There was only about three graves there.
I am assuming there must be another.
Could you give me the directions to this graveyard.

I went to the cemetery office today. The cemetery plot is Block 204 lot 10 grave 8 if you would like to add that to her page. I will hopefully be able to get the picture this weekend.
Are you related to the Dees family....you seem to have a lot of research and linking on their memorials.....My ggrandmother was Hettie Lee Dees parents John Williams Dees and Arrena (or Irena). Just curious if we might could share some info....
|Peggy Herridge Wilson||Etha Goodman Herridge|
Find A Grave Memorial# 81754160
You added a photo to her memorial indicating just the foundation for the tombstone remained.
I added her husband to her memorial...he died over 30 years before her. Her grave was by his father.
But without the death certificate with location of burial, I did not know whether to list him in the same cemetery. But I think he is buried there as per this:
Found on the Converse Cemetery at USGen Web.com
15 16 Etha G. Herridge May 6 1919 unk 9999
15 17 Calvin M.Herridge Apr 12 1873 Jul 2 1958 b/w Bertha B.
15 18 Unknown Unknown unk 9999 unk 9999
15 19 Bertha Bell Herridge Apr 6 1892 Jun 6 1960 b/w Calvin M.
Note: Unknown between Calvin ahd his wife Bertha.
Any further info would be very much appreciated. Calvin Monroe Herridge is the son of my great grandfather's brother, Calvin Watson Herridge. They had a younger brother, James Monroe Herridge who died in the Civil War so expect that is where Calvin Monroe Herridge got his name.

Debby, If you ever take a photo of a headstone that I have submitted a photo for, please add yours. Let me know and I will delete mine. Your photos are so much better!!
|Greg de Valcourt||William H. Cobbs|
That is an impressive photo you left for William H. Cobbs and family in Spring Ridge Cemetery. I saw a similar photo of yours for the Williams family in Fort Jesup.
Debby, I have added more of your photos to my family tree on Ancestry giving you credit. But I am so impressed with the clarity of the photos. What camera do you use? It's almost like you can touch the stone on some of them. Pat
Debby, I have saved some of your photos to my family tree this morning and I wanted to say thank you for beautiful photos. The names and dates are always readable. You add a close up that is really appreciated. The resolution is great. Thank You so much and I do give you credit on my Ancestry tree when I add your photos. Pat
