I am doing Ellen Manuel's edits for her while she is ill. Thank you for sending the obit for Mrs,. Windmiller. Do you know the name of the newspaper?

I found some other info and posted it on her memorial page. I linked her to her parents and her husband. I'm waiting on links for her children and 2 brothers. One brother already is linked.

RE: Annis (Acker) Bartling
Hi Karin
Charles Frederick William Bartling died on 15 Oct 1929 in Los Angeles, California. Like you, I have so far, been unable to locate where he is laid to rest. I have just begun researching the Acker line, so I really have not begun any research into the Bartling line. I believe he was the son of William H Bartling and Christina Heitzman, but I have not verified his mother's maiden name at this time.

RE: Ruth Olive Brandt
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. For some reason, to day, I could not log on to Find-A-Grave. I could log on to all my other sites, but not this one.

That must be very confusing!

RE: Ruth Olive Brandt
Here's what I got out of that:

Amanda Stetler married Charles Brandt. He died and she was the housekeeper for Robert Rhodes Sr.

She became involved with Robert Sr and became pregnant at age 42. Her son, Robert Rhodes Jr was given the Brandt name. Later, he changed it back to Rhodes. But, before that happened, he married Daphne Counterman as a Brandt and they had Ruth Olive (Brandt).

On Ruth Olive's Death Certificate, her father is listed as Robert B Brandt. On her SSI Death Record, he is listed as Benjamin F Brandt. I think the "F" was really an "R," and that his name was actually Robert Benjamin Brandt (changed later back to Rhodes).

Is that right?

RE: Roxanne (Hartzog) Walter
Do not know if they are related or not. Usually Walter ends in "s". So I have John 1863-1951, Pauline 1870-1951, and Dr. Frank 1906-1981 are all on one marker. Iva 1904-1970 with OES symbol. BJ
