I am adding a wall pic from my 'library' collection-I will not be offended if you aren't happy with it and re-instate your photo request.

What were you looking for on Billy (Pete) Gililland and his wife Wilma. He was my uncle on my mother's side.

That's strange. Maybe there is a mistake on their website. The coincidence that they are both unmarked, and buried in different sections would cause me to investigate this further. Only once before did I find a major mistake at this cemetery. A person's headstone was place on the WRONG grave, several rows away from where the person was buried. Their website indicated the wrong location, but their own records showed where the person was actually buried. I had to have an employee actually go out with me to the site because she did not believe me. She was quite embarrassed and said that they would have the headstone moved.
Maybe there is a mix up with the Harrells?

Almost the same thing happened here: Albert is buried next to Cecil and Ruth Harrell, and his grave is unmarked. Space A in lot 449 is to the right of Ruth Harrell, whose grave is 449-B.
I wish this could have been a more productive trip on your behalf. Sorry!

If the location on her memorial is correct, there is a man's military headstone, probably her husband, but her name is not on it. I am going to add that photo to her memorial, and send a note to the 'manager' of the memorial. I checked Green Hills' online database, and that appears to be the correct location.
Sorry this was not a more perfect outcome.

I could not find a headstone for Janet Cook. Could she be Janet Woods. She is noted on the headstone of Hazel Reidhead Cook but there are no dates listed. A picture of this headstone is posted on the Roosevelt Cemetery. Please let me know if this is the right person and I can put a picture of this headstone on her memorial. Thank You. Marne

It's always such a privilege and honor to take photos at Black Hills National Cemetery. So glad I could help.

Oh! You are related to them? They are my relatives as well. Miles is my 3rd great grandfather. It was my pleasure going back out and visiting.
