Bio

I've been researching family history for more than 30 years. My passion began when I saw a picture of my grandfather who had passed away long before I was born. Contributing to this site is my way of bringing the person to the memorial, connecting their resting place to the person they were in life and giving their descendants more than words on a gravestone to remember their loved ones. I've personally benefited from this site by finding branches of my family that I wouldn't have found otherwise, so contributing what information I have is a way of paying it forward.

The photos I have added are mostly family heirlooms, passed down through generations. I have digitized them and placed them here to ensure that generations to come will have access to those photos even if we never meet. Please feel free to copy them for your personal use, but please do not post them on other websites as your own. Especially Family Search.org.

Almost all the gravestone pictures were ones I personally took. Please ask first if you wish to post them elsewhere and take credit for them.

Where I have added death certificates or obituaries, it is to provide more detail about the person's name, birth/death date, parentage and/or burial location. I have made an effort to keep them to very old records, and nothing that would be insensitive to living family members, but if something I've posted really bothers someone, please feel free to contact me and I'll remove it. I had someone post inappropriate memorials for my parents and I know first hand how hurtful it can be.
