Inspired by a brown kraft paper sheet of genealogy completed by my maternal Great-Grandmother, Alice Mary Wood Hodgdon (1879-1961), for her admittance to the Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR); my kind Aunt made a copy and that is where I started from! It was indeed quite accurate & from there I have a genealogical tree consisting of over 12,000 people. I have been very fortunate as most of my genealogical lines have been in the same area of Maine since the 1700's; my patrilineal lines trace to the Mayflower (however the "recycling" of names continues to vex me!); my research is in the Boothbay Harbor region along with the surrounding islands, Westport Island and Massachusetts. If there is any assistance that I could offer, please don't hesistate to contact me! Happy Hunting!
