Just someone hooked on family research - I transcribe records for a genealogical society as a volunteer, have been working on the death register for a few years. |
Since I don't live where my ancestors/relatives are I have found this site very interesting and helpful.
Thank you to all who take their time to make this site as great as it is!
reminder to me: to add a relative other than parent/s or spouse/s: XXXX put in mem# - Name put in person's name

I am sure that you did not mean to make a duplicate. Most of don't.
The other mgr is busy, but she will get back to you. So please be patient.
If you would like to submit the photo request under the old one we will be happy to look for it.

Okay ignore the below entry. After seeing if any of the other names in the book were listed in Lafayette Cem 1 I could not find any so I checked out Lafayette Cem 2 which is just up the street, someone has created memorials from this book with the following note:
"By 1847 [Lafayette] No. 1 was reaching capacity, and it was deemed that there be no new burials in the original cemetery."
I have not seen that information before but maybe during the epidemic they were not adding more?? They do have burials to this day in Cem 1.
I do not see a memorial created for Johan Ennis yet on Find A Grave in Cem 2. I have seen where the records for Cem 1 and Cem 2 have been combined but with that statement above your person could be located in Cem 2.
Have a great day.

New SPP is now called Resurrection. Double check me but I think it says that on the main page for the cemetery. Personally I think Old SPP was getting mixed up with New SPP
