I have been researching my family history for 10+ years. Family names I am researching are:|
St. Cin, Lanius, Spinks, Campbell, Compton, Reeves, Baker, Berkel, Fisher and many other related.
I enjoy going to the cemeteries. I like to be able to place flowers on the graves of people who have passed on. So many of these graves have been lost and or forgotten. I feel it is a blessing if I can help even a small few people find their lost loved ones.
I also like to imagine how and where people lived, some so very long ago.
NOTE: Jan. 2014 -- My computers (3) have been down for awhile, I have not been ignoring anyone. I will have everything up & running again soon. Thank you for your understanding.
Feb. 13, 2014 I may have my computer problems fixed and I am trying to catch up.
IF YOU SEND ME A CORRECTION FOR ONE OF MY MEMORIALS, AND I HAVE NO WAY TO CONTACT YOU, YOUR CORRECTIONS MAY NOT BE MADE. SORRY.
FROM MY FRIENDS PROFILE: CARMASKID
I know 3 excellent guidelines for interacting with other people.
"Assume good faith."
"Use good manners."
"Don't bite the newcomers."
I am a relative newcomer, and there's a lot to learn at Find A Grave. Please don't bite me. I have enough wounds and scars already, some of them very recent.
Best Wishes to you all,
CarmasKid, 14 Jan 2014

|Jane Fay Cook Edwards||Cook|
Diana, I have a few more family links for your Cook memorials. Had you rather I just request transfers?
|C. Carter Kahler||RE: Mattie Delcour|
Bryan was the name of her 2nd husband (Ed W. Bryan). Frederick Delcour was her first husband. Do both names appear on her stone? The Falloon part is right. Chris
|Jerry L Edwards||RE: Cook|
Thanks for the links. And in answer to your question, he is my wife's relative. She is going to log in and use the edit tab to request David and Rhoda.
David is an important person. His locations plus three DNA matches led to connecting a large number of Cooks in TN, MS, TX to those in KY and MO, with his father as a common ancestor.
Thank you very much. Jerry.
|Glenn Benner||Benjamin Lanius/Lonius|
Thank you for all your hard work on find-a-grave! My name is Glenn Benner from Lancaster, Pa. I have been researching my gg-grandfather`s civil war unit Co.D 2nd PVC. I am trying to find info on Benjamin Lanius who served with Co.D. There is a Benjamin L. at Prospect Hill in York, Pa. Is he part of your family? Have you ever run into this name in your research? His F.A.G. #44916983. Any clues to this puzzle would be great! Thanks again and Best Wishes, Glenn
|Kaye Harkins McClintock||RE: Wendall Moutray|
Thank you very much! Kaye
|C. Carter Kahler||RE: Thomas Carter|
Thank you so much for the links.
|CarmasKid||Baby McCown Brown|
Thank you for the transfer. That was very kind of you. I think they both died in childbirth, as the mother's death was caused by puerperal (which I had to look up) eclampsia. Puerperal is an old fashioned word for post-partum. It occurs most frequently in teen-age births but they have more tools to cope with it in these more modern days.
Best to You,
|CarmasKid||Baby of Gladys Pearl McCown Brown|
That baby's mother was the sister of Emma Corrine McCown who married Elmer Bryant Clements. Elmer's father, John Clayton Clements, was the older brother of my g-grandfather, Basil Clements. Several of Clayton's family members are buried at Rhea Cemetery.
I'm so glad to hear from you. You are very welcome to use the guidelines and they work well in just about any setting, but I cannot claim authorship or ownership. They are the 3 basic guidelines used at Wikipedia. The first one seems to be the biggest problem here at Findagrave. Many people here seem to assume the worst instead of the best about others. I've been bitten several times with accusations of sneaky wrongdoing that would not occur to me to do if I thought for a hundred years.
About the tokens, some people I never met and never will added tokens to some memorials of mine for recent losses I've had. They touched my heart, and lifted my spirits, so I did what you did, clicked on their names and saw that they were regularly practicing random acts of kindness, something I believe deeply in. I just started doing that too.
We have such enormous, often-untapped power for making the world a better place by doing little things for others whose cost is only a moment of time!
Check out my virtual cemetery for angels that need remembrances. Daniel Pletcher has a bigger one than I do. Come visit my page again.
Best Wishes to you,
|Lou||Jesse Jefferson Reeves and Susannah Inman|
Sorry, but I do not have any gravesites for them, so of course have no memorial numbers.
