Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history for 10+ years. Family names I am researching are:
St. Cin, Lanius, Spinks, Campbell, Compton, Reeves, Baker, Berkel, Fisher and many other related.
I enjoy going to the cemeteries. I like to be able to place flowers on the graves of people who have passed on. So many of these graves have been lost and or forgotten. I feel it is a blessing if I can help even a small few people find their lost loved ones.
I also like to imagine how and where people lived, some so very long ago.

I know 3 excellent guidelines for interacting with other people.

"Assume good faith."
"Use good manners."
"Don't bite the newcomers."

Black Cemetery
Hi Diana, I was planning to go to Black MO for vacation in November. I came across your listings for 35 people in the cemetery with no photos. I was going to take the photos while I was there, however, I found a listing of Black River Cemetery which had the same names with photos. So now I am confused. Could you tell me what's up with this? I am new at this thing and not sure I quite understand. Thanks for your patience.

Oscar W Williams
Would you happen to have the complete obituary for Oscar Williams [or a source for it]? I got his death certificate and news articles about his car accident, but his wife Ida Sing is whom I'm interested in.
Thank you.

RE: Uncle Bill Gruel
Hi Diana

I'm very glad to be in touch with you. I was quite fond of Uncle Bill and Aunt Minnie. They were such kind people. I also knew (as an infant and toddler) Aunt Minnie's family, the Meyers. I have, in a scrapbook my mother made for me at the time, greeting cards from "Grandma Meyer" and her mother-in-law, "Little Grandma Meyer". Bob Berkel was a childhood friend of my late mother, and they renewed contact in later years when he was a patient at St. Joe's Hospital in Kirkwood, MO, where she was a nurse.

How are you related to Chuck Berkel and Cathy Wymer? Is that your husband and sister-in-law? I talked to each of them briefly on the phone many years ago.

I have other photos to share with you, and would enjoy talking with you. I live in Indiana; my number is 812-967-5386.

Demarcus Walker
Hi Diana, I'm a direct descendent of Demarcus and Mary Ann - have been working on this family since the 1970s. Demarcus is listed in the 1870 census and may not have died for several years. I was told that the markers had been removed from this cemetery (might disclose additional information.) Oh well. Am still looking and have found Demarcus and Mary Ann as far back as 1800 in North Carolina census records. Their son Francis Marion Walker is my g-g-grandfather, his son John Wesley Walker is my g-grandfather, and his youngest daughter (2nd marriage) is Roxie Ann Walker Clark. My email is Would love to hear from you.

Howard J. Coplin
You have Howard J. Coplin in the Skaggs Cemetery in Davisville, Missouri. Would you change his name to include his first name as James Howard Coplin. I have checked records and he was going by his middle name.
He was married to Naomi Jessie Mae Furry on March 29, 1936 in Dillard, Crawford County, Missouri. At this time I don't know any more.
This is my husband's uncle so please let me know if this helped. Thanks for the work you do! I love FindAGrave!!

RE: Minnie
Well, maybe not! haha. Just checked the census record for 1880 and she is there and aged about 1 year, so 1879 is more likely. You can just make a note if you like in the bio? However you want to handle it.

RE: Minnie Effie Cinie Wineberger
Perfect, this is exactly who I thought it was. I believe her birth year was actually 1881. Thank you Diana.

Beezley Family of Cook Station, MO
I am writing the history of Cook Station, MO and Mrs. Beezley played a prominent roll in our town. Her son's name is Louis Vernon Beezley and her husband's name is Euel Sheridan Beezley.

If you have any information on the Beezley family, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks you.
