|Bio and Links|
I started researching my family history after my mother passed away in 2011. Fortunately for me she had everything written down so it gave me a good head start. My wife did not have much on her family so I started looking to see how much I could find on her family.|
I found out early on the only way to do this was to walk the entire cemetery and try to link each person back. Doing it this way I was able to find relatives that I wouldn't have been able find otherwise. Family plots give a lot of clues about the family that are not obvious otherwise.
I am happy to add any family information since it makes it easier for others to find the memorial, any bio information should be written so it can be copied over. Please use the edit tab and the Suggest a correction link when sending information or requesting a transfer, it makes it easier and reduces the chance of an error. If you are looking for a response to any questions, please provide an email address.
Any gravestone pictures I've posted may be used for non-commercial use, family trees, Ancestry, etc. Credit should be noted with the picture.
Please do not post death certificates to my memorials, rather enter the transcribed information through the edit tab. If I wanted the death certificate on the memorial, I would have put it there myself.

I cannot thank you enough for your image of Magdalena Foin Lanshe's stone. It is so meaningful for me to have an image of this as she is my 2x great grandmother and I live in California so I am unable to visit her final resting place.
I appreciate your time, effort and support through Find-A-Grave. Your volunteerism means the world to me. Thank you for helping make this website the wonderful tool it is.
With deepest gratitude, Magdalena's great, great, grandaughter,

Good morning, I did not see the cenotaph for Edward, shame on me. The surname Wendling/Wentling is one I am very familiar with in researching names. This is a surname in my family. The "d" and "t" seems to be interchangeable. I did change the "d" to the "t" on my memorial to Edward since the other family members were using the "t" in the surname with a note on his memorial that the name sometimes shows up with both spellings. I believe the issue is that the "d" in the German language is sometimes pronounce as a "t". Thanks for your response.

I've been checking your progress at Sacred Heart hoping that you'd soon make it to the Richards--with the distinctive old "tree" wooden cross stones. And today, I was so pleased to find that you posted their memorials. Thanks.
I have jpg obituaries for Henry and Matilda from the old Allentown Democrat newspaper. I want to check that adding these would be in keeping with your desires. Would you be OK with these being added?
BTW, many years ago I visited this cemetery and took pics, but lost most with a digital glitch. (I do have a long shot of all the stones in a row.) Having your photos on Find-a-Grave is very much appreciated.

On Emilie's father's will, he states "...among my children: Josiah, Adalina, Emilie, Henriette and Maria.."
So therefore I figured the father would know the most appropriate way to spell or say his daughters name. I had it different on my records until I saw his will.
Thanks for all you do for the Penn records.

Joe, Thanks for your reply. I am confused though. On what basis did you put her in this cemetery? From what information? Thanks. Gene

Joe, Would you please consider transferring this site to me? This is my Great Grandmother. Curious, were the years of birth and death on a headstone? My records are one year off for both.
GBJR #48475698 Thanks. Gene

This is my great grandmother. Have been to the cemetery and have pictures of the headstone. She is buried with first hubby Joseph Dieber, and is listed as Dieber. Had a question, where did you find Kleinmürbisch, that you have listed on Find A Grave. I have where she was baptized, and it is nowhere near where she or her brother state where they were born. I so need a new clue.
|BAMaustin||RE: Find A Grave Correction: Melchor Horn|
Thanks for the follow-through. Photos can't make it obvious from the photos when monuments are half-size .
Juvenile deaths would explain why we don't have Melchor or Mary in Harry Yohe Horn's (Jr or Sr.) genealogy. I know of a couple other cases in the Horn family where early losses were not logged either.
I have a lot of relatives interred in the area. All your efforts are certainly appreciated.
