Greetings enthusiasts! A librarian by trade, I love research and genealogy. I am mostly interested in the Keller and Klevorn families (my mother's maiden name is Klevorn). As I come upon other people of interest, I add them also.|
I am of the opinion that cemeteries are places to honor and remember the dead; they are also places of healing and forgiveness. Our faith tells us that individuals who die in God's grace are part of the "Communion of Saints" -- to this end we need to approach this work with much reverence.
Fidelium animę, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.
All ye, who would honor
The saints and their Head,
To pray for the dead;
And they in return,
From their misery freed,
To you will be friends
In the hour of need.

And greetings back from America!
LOL - Rob and I live in Arizona. The photos we posted from Boroondara were taken by my husband when he was visiting there a couple of years ago. However, he is Australian and we do plan to be there about this time next year. You might try doing a photo request and ask the photo volunteer to check for you or you might have some success in searching the Boroondara data base that you can find here:
Hope one of those suggestions will help and, please, feel free to use any of our photos you wish.

Yes I know, I went ahead and added them hoping someone would see them and know where they are buried. I usually move them to the right location if I can figure out where they are. I was just hoping a family member would see them and know where they are otherwise they are lost....

Thank you, Steven. I've been quite the procrastinator on this, but I've gotten off to a good start.
Great to reconnect with you!
Yes, I would be glad to take care of the Nolan memorial.

I have enjoyed reading your memorials on Find A Grave,ie: The Sands Family. It would be my pleasure to take the headstone photos for you in the Sacred Heart section. Very interesting and challenging project you are working on. Great work.

Thank you for asking. Yes, you have my permission to use the picture of the Sacred Heart statue that describes the re-interment of the Sisters from Eden Hall. The statue is very impressive in person. I see that you have requested other sisters buried in the same location of Sacred Heart. I will be taking a final trip in the next week or two to this cemetery. Do you have other sisters that you would like to request? If I remember correctly-there are more stones of sisters from this same order.

Have come a long way since my first message on your site. Life was tough in the early 1900s in Glasgow! Thanks for your reply. I don't know what is involved in transferring the memorial. I will leave a donation...tried before but didn't work for some reason, will try again. Regards Myra Elsdon

Hi Steven, Started a family tree search here looking for my Grandfather. His sister Jessie was buried in Stanbrook Abbey. She was a nun...her Abbey name was Sister Sylvia but her birth name was Jessie Baillie ( different spelling of Jessie here) On this site her birth is unknown but I have found that in my search and it is November 28th 1904. Also found my Grandfather and Grandmother's grave ( buried together) in Edinburgh and gave a copy of the headstone to my 80 year old Mum ( their daughter) who had never seen it as we live in Australia. Thanks for this great site to find our families. Myra
