I'm a professional librarian and archivist, and a hobby genealogist, always searching for the full story on my Simmons (Georgia), Leonard (S.C. and Maine), Hazelden (S.C.) and Smith (S.C.) ancestors.|
I'm not ashamed to admit that I love spending time in cemeteries!

Thank you very much for the photos you added to the memorial pages of Jay and Leila Wallace who are buried in Rich Cemetery.

Thanks for the info. With it being a famous grave it will have to be corrected by the admins.

Thanks Jerry, good work! - I actually have a backlog of photos that I've taken of headstones and markers in the Diplomatic & Consular Officers Memorial Area of Rock Creek, but have not had time to add to Find-a-Grave. If only they offered 36-hour-days...

thank you for the photo at Rock Creek Cemetery.

Thank you soooo much for your diligence! Wowww.. hope they dont forget us....Grrrrr
Have a great weekend and catch ya on the rebound!
|Edward L. Adams, Jr.||Peyton Lewis Adams (Aug. 22, 1882 - Dec. 24, 1953)|
Thank you for looking. That sorta explains why his wife Rachel V. Murphy Adams who died in 1968 has her name on her parents stone in Rock Creek. I just assumed Peyton L. Adams was buried there. I will check his obituary again for a funeral home contact.

Many many thanks for your photo of John Burton Hotchkiss' grave. Marian is his wife and I did start a sketchy memorial to her....

|Ann Maree||Ada Young Van Cloostere|
I just filled your request for Joseph, but it's a duplicate memorial as there is actually an "E" on the end of the name. Ada is in the Van Cloostere mausoleum on the south wall bottom crypt, beneath Joseph. It's very difficult to photograph through the doors, but I will try again with morning light to get a photo of her inscription.

Thanks for going out there and looking. The last time I was there was about 15 years ago and her marker and her son's were covered by grass. The cemetery doesn't do much to keep them visible.

Thank you for the photos. Your service is greatly appreciated. Do you know what the insignia on his marker means. I am not familiar with that marking. Thanks again for the photo.
