Bio Photo I'm a professional librarian and archivist, and a hobby genealogist, always searching for the full story on my Simmons (Georgia), Leonard (S.C. and Maine), Hazelden (S.C.) and Smith (S.C.) ancestors.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I love spending time in cemeteries!

Ada Young Van Cloostere
I just filled your request for Joseph, but it's a duplicate memorial as there is actually an "E" on the end of the name. Ada is in the Van Cloostere mausoleum on the south wall bottom crypt, beneath Joseph. It's very difficult to photograph through the doors, but I will try again with morning light to get a photo of her inscription.

RE: Helen B. Moulton Bickford

Thanks for going out there and looking. The last time I was there was about 15 years ago and her marker and her son's were covered by grass. The cemetery doesn't do much to keep them visible.

Thank you for the photos. Your service is greatly appreciated. Do you know what the insignia on his marker means. I am not familiar with that marking. Thanks again for the photo.

RE: Abner Pomroy
You're welcome. The names you see in the Pomroy cemetery is all there is. It is a very small family cemetery. I can ask my genealogy group is anyone knows of those names. If I hear anything I will let you know.

Golden Hill Cemetery
Hi Mr. Simmons, I have taken quite a few pictures of the headstones here in Omaha at Golden Hill. The only Katzmans I have are Sam & Rose. I don't have any Fromkin, Appel or Sidman. For Hahn I have a Fred & Ruth, Herman and William. Not for sure if all pictures have been uploaded yet. I can if they are not there. Most of the headstones in the cemetery are upright headstones, the ones on the Northeast are mostly flat stones. If you know someone who is there, let me know and I will be happy to visit the cemetery as it is close to my house.

RE: I. E. Clark (1919-2007)
Jerry, the below is regarding I E Clark and lets you know where he is buried. The lady who sent this could be your relative. I hope this helps in some small way.
Thank you so very much for correcting Hampus Roos II. It was great of you.

I read all your e-mails on One of the messages was about Dr. I. E. Clark.

Would believe that he is the maternal uncle by marriage to Hampus Roos II.?

Ella Wolters Clark was a sister to Louise Wolters Roos, mother of Hampus.

The Schulenburg City Cemetery is city owned. Maybe that is why it is so well cared for.
There is no cemetery association.

The big point is that you had an e-mail about Dr. I. E.Clark. He had a grandson named I. E. Clark, Jr. The reason the gentleman looking for him cannot fiind his grave is because he is buried on his ranch outside of Schulenburg. It is a family cemetery for the Clarks. My cousins and I were in Schulenburg in June to visit the cemetery. I made contact with a lovely lady who introduced us to I. E. Clark, Jr.'s widow. She is in her 90's. She invited us to visit her home where we saw the family cemetery. My connection to the family is through the Wolters.

I assume that Jerry Simmons is connected through the Clark family. If you want to forward this e-mail to him, I will be glad to exhange information.

Thank you again for all the work which you have done,
Josephine Roos Routhier

RE: I. E. Clark (1919-2007)
Jerry, as far as I can tell, there are no other I. E. Clarks buried in Schulenburg City Cemetery. My husband and I have taken photos of all the memorials. I still have 100+ photos to upload but I went through them and do not find any more Clarks. There are some old memorials that I am unable to read but doubt these are from someone who died as recently as 2007. I also do not find any unmarked graves in the Clark plot. I know that the I. E. (Issac Edger Clark who died in 1928 was the father of Harvey R Clark who was the father of Issac Edger Clark born 9 Dec 1919 and died 28 May 2007. Where did your I E Clark 1919-2007 live when he passed?

I have not found a cemetery association for Schulenburg City Cemetery but if you could locate them, you could call and ask if I E Clark 1919-2007 is buried in Schulenburg City Cemetery. So sorry I could not be of more help to you.
