Thank you for the flowers for my sweet father.
Guess you hear this a lot, are we related?
|Gustaf Bryngelson||RE: Clarence Geldert|
Thank you for honoring him, he was an interesting man.

Dear LeeAnne; I don't know if I answered your question or not. My first ancestor on my father's Vining side came to the colonies around the 1670's and by the 1730's they were in Sutton, MA. We married into the Salem Witches family of MA. My ancestor, William Vining born around 1700 married Anna Nichols. Anna Nichols parents were Thomas Nichols and Johanna Towne. Johanna's aunts were the ones accused of being witches. William took his family to NC around 1740 and his son Jeptha born 1738 gave money to the Revolutionary Cause which makes him a Patriot and his son Thomas born 1755 was a Watcher of the Road and was paid for this by the Army and therefore is listed as a Patriot. Thomas Vining ended up marrying Col. Thomas H. Wade's daughter. Both Thomas's knew each other from the war. I hope this answers your question.

Hello LeeAnne, I noticed that you recently left flowers on Clarence Geldert's memorial. Are you related to him? I have written a book about Evacuation Ambulance Company #8 and he is a main character in the book and I would like to learn more about him after he returned home.

Hello! You left flowers on the memorial page for Charles Loren Rice. Did you know him?
I've been trying to locate my father's brother for many years, and there's a slight possibility this might be him.
His name was Charles L. Rice, born Nov 18, 1934. They were triplets. The third baby died.
It was a very large family and the younger siblings were given up for adoption. It has taken many years for them to be reunited. And Charles is the last one to be found. Please let me know anything you know about this memorial.

Hi, Lee Ann,
Thank you for posting the photos and the detailed biography. He is my ancestor. I joined the DAR based on his service. Yesterday I bought the book "Bunker Hill" by Nathaniel Philbrick.
