Well, well. We have a winner!!! John D. Burdette and Easter/Ester Burdette are my (count them) great great great grandparents, through their son Robert Burdette (who married Lucinda Miller), their son Willis (who married Virginia Bristow Sympson) and my grandmother Nelle Burdette, who married Walter Ernest Graves. If you'd like to compare any other notes, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Isn't the internet fun? :)

Thank you so much. But apparently you transfered this memorial to me BEFORE you read my second email. I'm sooooo sorry. I had been looking for Obed awhile and really thought I had found him. But after I sent the request, I realized something wasn't quite right. You can't imagine how late I stayed up before finally finding MY Obed Burdett (spelled without the "e") buried in Texas. I validated it by finding his death certificate. So I'm transferring O.T. back to you. You mentioned Willis Burdette. I too, am descended directly from a Willis Burdette (from Marion County, KY). My Willis was married to Virginia Sympson. One of his sons was my grandfather, Walter Ernest Graves and his son was James Graves, my Dad. The parents of this Willis are Robert Burdette and Lucinda Miller Burdette. Not sure if our two Burdette families are connected or not. If so, you can email me at email@example.com. Again...so sorry for my mistake. (How embarrasing!)
I can't find the answer to my question where do I go

Thank you. My memory was off. It was the Aetnaville Cemetery, in Ohio County. I was there in 2002. I had a picture of the Willis M. Burdett marker, but now one for his wife Mary Mercer.

About 20 years ago I visited a small cemetery near Pellville. There were about 15 - 20 headstones. They were Burdette and Casey families. The cemetery was not visible from the roadway, up a slight inclined unpaved, no gravel pathway. Has this cemetery been photographed? I am a descendent of Lucinda Burdette Crowe.

thanks so much.
i have several families that stayed in that area for awhile, so the browning site may come in handy.
do not have a genealogybank account, not sure if i want to sign up there or not.
as to williard, states they were parents of 8 children, i have 8, not williard or any other that died 1925. i did see a williard 1885-1925 and buried in gibson county, about right age for a brother/cousin.
no williard buried with elvis/roxanna on findagrave, as a young child you would expect them to be together. of course it could just be it was meant to say parents of 8 other children, and no one has made a memorial for the saulmon cemetery location yet...
