I grew up in Texas and have lived away 38 years with visits on a regular basis. I started researching through my mothers chats, later, through her ledgers. She loved to write and keep records and I was lucky enough to have this information passed to me. Recently , accidently hit on some facts on line AND I AM Hooked!!We must remember our history and pass it on to our children.I have family buried all over Texas and Louisiana, mostly Jefferson, Orange and Jasper counties in Texas. Sullivan, Williamson, Jett, Oak Bluff Memorial. All over Newton County. On my mothers side-Brown,Smith/Herrin-Perkins-Stark. On my fathers side,Jones-Johnson/Cochran-Smith/Jones.
