RE: Jemima Harris Curnutte
I am pretty sure that her parents were Jacob and Jane (Kannaday) who were married 8/29/1827 in Wilkes Co. NC. They moved from NC to KY. Their son, Squire Harris who married Nancy Bentley is my line. I have not been able to find anything previous to Jacob and Jane's marriage.
Jane's name may have been Virginia Jane according to some.

RE: Riley family in Ky
I am a member of the Richwood Cemetery Board of Directors and as Registrar I listed the burials on findagrave with the grave locations based on cemetery records and a survey of tombstones in an effort to assist descendants in their search for ancestors. I do not know the Riley family personally. The information I have is what is on his tombstone. If you have the date of William's death I will add it to his memorial.

Ward Cemetery
Hello Joey,
Question: Can you tell me if this cemetery is considered Ward Cemetery at Haney Branch or Haney's Branch? Thank you.

RE: Small favor to ask
Hey Joey,
No need to be concerned. You should keep and manage memorials of your own family. :-) I'm not worried about credit unless I have reason to believe someone is deliberately trying to be dishonest. I know you aren't like that.
Sorry for my late reply. I've been a little busy and don't often check my Find A Grave profile as often as I used to do. If I can be of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me at

RE: Riley family in Ky

I created memorials for William and Sarah Riley with information I have as Registrar of Richwood Cemetery. I hope the pictures of the tombstones and the plot locations of their burial sites will be helpful. I have no addition information. I will inquire further and if I learn any additional information from long time residents of Richwood I will let you know.

RE: Harrison Smith
I'm sorry - I can't tell from your message what Harrison Smith you are referring to - what cemetery, what Find A Grave #.

Your Harrison Smith married Martha Haney in Wayne County West Virginia in 1894. The certificate of marriage was not returned.

RE: Small favor to ask
I saw the memorial you created and it is beautiful. Such good work. I will just delete mine. I really don't mind. She is YOUR grandmother and you deserve to have her memorial. :-)
Please keep in touch,

RE: Small favor to ask
Hey joey,
Good to hear from you. No problem at all. I will delete my memorial, unless you see an advantage to transferring it to you. Just let me know which you prefer. I will get your message quicker if you send a reply to
Best regards,

Bernard L. Plybon Jr. photo request
I don't think there is a marker for Bernard - he appears to be buried in the same plot as Neva M. Read (1883-1980). I took pictures of both the Neva and Roy P. Read (1884-1953) stones - let me know if you would like me to send them to you. If you need to investigate further, call Robert at the cemetery - he was very helpful.
