|Vickie S Gryp||RE: David Tittle|
I am sorry, Douglas, I have no information on David Tittle. I am interested in any you are willing to share. I only have his name going off of family trees from the internet that I have found, but no actual documentation connecting David as Samuel Tittle's father.
I am going to try contacting Warren County TN to see if I can get a birth certificate for Samuel Tittle or a death certificate from Hamilton County, IL. Hopefully, they will have information on his parents.
If I have any luck, I will make sure you get a copy.

Hello, Douglas. I think I am related to David Tittle and was wondering if you are related to him as well.
I believe he had a son named Samuel through his second wife Susan Walling. Samuel's son, Thomas Richard Tittle, would be my great-grandfather.

I think there's a mistake involving Tilda and I think I might be the one that made (with my wife's help). I don't think Lonnie Jones was Tilda's husband but may have been her son. It appears the man Tilda married was Arthur A. Jones. If you look at the 1930 census for Arthur A and Tilda you'll see what I mean. Arthur was born the same year that we had for Lonnie 1879. Arthur and Tilda had a son named Lonnie Lee who was 19 in 1930 putting his birth about 1921. Tilda was 16 when she married Arthur or about 1909. It appears that Arthur may have been married before, maybe 1900, to who I don't know. Let me know what you think.

Glad to send it. After 40 years of looking for Asenath Jones, I have to accept that it is really John J Mitchell and Emily Holtzclaw. The file is 13.7 MB, hopefully email won't choke on it.
|Ashleigh Mitchell||RE: Henry Thomas Mitchell|
For many years, I accepted the parentage of Henry Thomas and Sarah Ann Mitchell as being John J Mitchell and Asenath Jones. However, last year, I came across a copy of John J Mitchell will on Ancestry.com, which listed all of his children (Henry Thomas was executor of his estate).
Those children included Emily Mitchell Gravette, who is known to be the daughter of Emily Holtzclaw Mitchell, as indicated in the Widows Pension application for John's widow, Catherine Fox Mitchell, where it lists John's wives as Emily Holtzclaw, Elsie Hurst and Catharine Fox.
Asenath is apparently John and Emily's daughter, Asenath Jane (Cassina) Mitchell.
The Settoement of the Estate gives a date of May 1971 for John's death, from somewhere I have the date as 14 May, I'm trying to find my source for that.

Douglas, would you please contact me regarding the parentage of Henry Thomas Mitchell; easiest through Findagrave as I don't want to post my email address.
We have very different information concerning his parents.

Hi -- I was wondering if there was a source record that you used to create the memorial for George Sutton -- cemetery records? obituary? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Doug, I tried to email you but it came back unknown...So i thought I'd try to find you here. How are the memorials coming?
I have started to record the quilting heritage down thru our families. Haven't gotten very far but is very interesting. So far, I track 6 generations. Miss hearing from you. I hope all is well with you and yours.
I would like to plan a family history trip to Texas this year. Hope all goes well.

Hi Cuz, I am doing well, staying up late doing research. I hope you are well also. It is so good to hear from you.
|Gary Mayes||RE: Hello|
I see you have been busy. I am having great luck using Family Search and Find A Grave. Just this week I found a book, I have known about for years, on-line. It is for the side of my family not common to us. It is packed full of confirmations and new information going back to the Revolution.
Its been a couple years since I have activated my Ancestory account. I will do it this Winter when it gets wet and cold and I am in the house. I will see more of what you have been up to at that time. I get notifications about your additions.
