RE: Robert Farmer
Correction: Robert's father is, as I said, buried with his 3rd wife in San Diego.

RE: Robert Farmer
Robert Daniel Farmer (1934-1949)'s father is George William Farmer (1910-1988), my father, whose grave in Fort Rosecrans Cemetery, San Diego, CA is correctly listed by Find A Grave.

Robert Daniel Farmer's mother is Letitia E Mardin (1912-1999), George's first wife, who divorced George Farmer in 1940. (I was born in 1951 to George's third wife.) I believe that Letitia married Louis B Vogelgesang (1914-1982) sometime between the 1940 divorce and Robert's death in 1949. In Find A Grave, Letitia and Louis are shown sharing a vault or columbarium in a different cemetery, Lincoln Memorial Park, about eight miles away.

This is why I'm curious about the title "Son" on Robert's gravestone, and what names may be on the gravestone's surrounding it. That title would usually be used in a family plot where the mother's or father's burial plot was adjacent to the son, yet both the mother and father's remains are in a different cemetery eight miles away.

RE: Robert Farmer
Yes, Joe, but I was hoping to get information about the graves surrounding Robert's grave, since his says "Son". Is there a father or mother grave nearby?

Hi! Thank you so much for helping fulfill this photo request! This is my grandmother's cousin, and one of the German-Russians who moved to America in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Have a great Thanksgiving!
