Bio

I am the daughter of Nona Garlene surrogate Miller (whose father was a Whetzel) and Clarence William Fulk, Sr. Genealogy has been an obsession since about 1980, although the roots began in early childhood with almost every Sunday visiting my great grandparents in Shoemaker, we always said Hollar, Hollow, Lost City, Hardy Co, WV. They raised my mother while her mother found work wherever she could to help support her only child until she married at far too young an age.
My mother never knew her father, she knew a man who insisted over his lifetime he was her father and she had an aunt who perpetuated the lie all her lifetime despite her sister's insistance this man was not the father. I never believed he was. My DNA does not lie and the biological father was not known until 2021.
We all have our stories, and fortunately, I have multitudes thanks to Mom and her grandparents and a few from Dad.
My heritage includes: Miller, Teets, Wilson, Tharp, Hulver, Jonathan - back to Joan Hurst of the Mayflower, so I'm told but have not figured out, and Fulk, Fadley, Biller, Tusing, Bible, Fawley, Sprinkle, and so many I cannot recount them all.
I attempt to make corrections to any of my family find-a-grave pages when I come across them and am so very grateful to all those working for this site to our benefit.
