Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing our family tree since 1992, started in Missouri,,,there are alot of family around this country, my main family is Moore; Galantine; Hoffman; Cunningham; Fowler; Downen,,I have taken photo's at the local cemetery here in Newport, Wa. and a lonely country cemetery at Usk, Wa. I did this because my grandson was in football for 2 hours every day so I had to find a hobbie..but when I went to the cemetery I found a relative,,,,,,,,that was it,,,,,,,I remember my father, who also did genealogy, telling me that one of his Aunts husband died here, so that was the one I found. If any of my photo's are of intrest to you please feel free to copy it.

Thanks for adding the pictures of Aunt Verne to her memorial. I was trying to think last evening if I had any that I could add, those are great of her and Uncle Wally. Kathy

RE: John Evans
Hi Mary - thanks for your speedy reply! Jon Evans #29263681, son of Ezer and Mary Ellen (McKay) Evans. The family was in KS and left Coffeyville in 1879 in their wagon train. They went to Colorado, and stopped in Nevada to work to pay for the rest of the trip west. Then they went to Wallowa County, Oregon, where they arrived in the summer of 1880. A very beautiful place!

John married Mary Barnes in Oregon. The Evans family easily moved between Wallowa County, OR to areas of western Idaho, (Cascade, Long Valley) and Baker Co. Oregon. They ventured north to the Asotin area of Washington. Some family left from there and went to Canada, during the huge migration into Canada for farming. Many of the family came back to OR and Idaho by 1915. They are all over the place!

John Evans
Hi Mary-

I noticed you added a family photo of John Evans, and just wondered which line you are from? Looking for more family!

My line is through Ezer and Mary's daughter Sarah, who married Wm Stockham. And another Stockham married Andrew "Pete" Evans, who we knew as Uncle Pete.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Michael Tulley #80249769
Hi, Mary, While doing research on my ancestry.com tree, I came across your memorial on Find A Grave. Please take a look at my memorial for Michael James Tully #99403255. This is my husband's Gr Grandfather. As you can see, his surname was misspelled on the headstone as well. Michael Tully's Gr Granddaughter tried to have the name corrected. I found a story online by Ronald J Stanulevich "Called Home to Glory - The Disaster at Chiloway Switch". There is more to Michael Tully's story, his son had passed away only days before he was killed and he was filling in for another co-worker. Such a sad story. Thought you might find this interesting. Have a great day.

I'm wondering where you get the information on my great-grandfather George Washington "Gus" Thomason and what does it mean when you say Body lost or destroyed. Sharon Thomason

Abshire graves
Hi Mary,

My name is Dianne Vorves. I am related to William B and Lucretia Abshire. Are you a relative as well? I have been searching for this family for a while. Being able to add William and Lucretia has been a wonderful find. Thank you so much for your contribution.

Dianne

RE: Mildred Reinhardt
No, she is not a relative. She was a good friend of my mother's. I always hope that a relative will come along and appreciate all the good information. Thanks again. Joanne
