My family is planning an English-Penney (Penny) family reunion. I have joined their efforts by searching for family members. I've learned a lot like ....most of our family is "Penny"/"McPenney" - not just "Penney" ....we have relatives I didn't know living in my own county ....so far one of my sons has 2 friends that are distant cousins - lol.
I was named after my Granny who was a Penney via Asa Penny and I always wondered why the "e" was dropped from my first name. Now I know :)
Penney/Penny Family My name is Sarah Davenport-McEvoy and my mother was a Penny. She is the daughter of John Wesley Penny, the III, son of John Wesley Penny, Jr., son of John Wesley Penny, Sr., son of Wesley S. Penny, son of Peter Penny, son of Asa Penny. I was wondering if you know which line of Asa's you follow.
RE: Kathleen Casey (1920-2013) Thanks for that info on her gravestone inscription. We are not local, and may never get any further info on her. But thanks for posting the one without the date. Sometimes, if a person dies without any living relatives, they never (ever) get a death inscription date.
Christine Luebker Hi, I am Kathy. I posted a photo of a local write-up about Christine. I am one of her two nieces, both living. The other is Tracey ne Fields. The write-up you did is nice. My father which is her brother-in-law, which would be the only brother in law in this case, also died this last year. The write-ups for them are from the same publication surfky.com. I liked it included a vast area. It is alright with me if you move the photo, whatever. We all love her. I am just her niece so I don't want to get too possessive. Everyone is still in shock because the cancer took her so quickly, and then we lost another in a couple of months. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSmcid=47456077&GRid=111848284&
