We have been going to Longfield Cemetery in Anderson County (Lake City) TN. every year since we discovered it back in 2007. Later we discovered Find-A-Grave. We hunt for veterans graves, and place a marker and a flag on all we find. The first grave we found was that of Jesse Jackson Rigs.

It was face up in the dirt covered in moss and debris and could barely be read. We re-erected it, cleaned it and placed a flag by it. We have been cleaning all the old veterans grave stones as we find them. We have since found 29 veterans graves and with the help of a local person, we still place flags on all the veterans graves at Longfield in May and maintain them with new flags throughout the year.

In 2012 we co-founded the Allen County Veterans Memorial Foundation

to establish the "Allen County War Memorial"

The foundation has its' own Find-A-Grave account for its purposes.
